An absolute gem of a find! Stunning location with large rock formations and plenty of rock pools at low tide. Very similar to kynance cove, but without the long, tricky walk down to the beach (I love kynance, but haven't been this year as I imagine social distancing on the final part of the walk down would be near impossible)! Top tip - arrive early and plan to stay for the day - the lane down to the beach car park is narrow and the car park does fill up - you don't want to be trying to negotiate your way back up the lane while others are still coming down to try and park! We got there around 10am and parked easily (£4 all day), then got breakfast from one of the two beach cafes. There is also a surf school on the beach but you'll need to check if they're operating with current covid restrictions. Social distancing measures in place for the cafes and toilets, and the beach is large enough to tuck yourself away from others. Ideal beach for children too, with lovely, soft sand and a little stream...

Wild and beautiful winter day. Powerful waves and strong gusts of wind led to a very different experience than in summer. I was very fatigued after a wobbly wander close by, and so only made it a short distance from the car, but will return to see more.

The cafe was closed, but there were other things to do like try out the telescope looking out over the bay, the beach was large and looked like sand though I couldn't make it down there today.

I enjoyed how raw it felt and looked, a light mist was starting to blow in as the sun was setting behind me.

Toilets were up a path that looked a little too steep and narrow for my crutches, but maybe wouldn't look so daunting if this were the first adventure of the day. Smooth, flat concrete and timber walkways were easy to navigate on crutches and by wheelchair, and would be easy with...

We have been visiting kennack for years. It's a lovely little beach that never seems too busy with two cafes and public toilet. We love taking the kids to kennack sands as there is plenty for them to do like climbing the rocks, exploring the rock pools, making dams across the little river and of course swimming in the sea. There's usually a life guard on duty during the busy times and there are some nice little walks in and around the area. There is a car park of a decent size right near the beach which you pay at the cafe for a days parking. Can't wait until our next visit!!

One of amazing spot in west-south part of Cornwall. Calm and peaceful waves make my children to enjoy their time without having difficulty in the sea. Most of time it was sunny and not much windy at this site due to the small closed cove between hillside hills. You can see the amazing view in the hill in the upperside of parking or opposite side of the hill towards Blackhead. Thanks a ton for the cool lifeguard who told me Poldhu cove since there was severe pollution due to the sewage issue at that time.
