Great wee place … my two German shepherd’s loved it … I have one age 3 and one aged 5 months …. Both enjoyed it .. it was raining but the place accommodated for this as there’s a small hut with chairs and also rubber flooring which is great for me as I have a really bad knee … the wall is absolutely fantastic you can tell it’s seeped in history…. Beautiful little secluded place .. dog bins available for dog mess and water available for them to drink … really really enjoyed this place .. very clean and kept well … just the perfect amount of mud via grass for two bouncing German shepherds … have has a look at some of the comments with dogs barking and traffic on the other side … personally I think it’s great to have that in the background it helps the dogs with normal day to day noises … helps me with training my little pup .. also when I came in there was a man with a good few dogs walking into his house .. my little German shepherd was barking his head off the guy never raised his voice and ignored my dog then walked his dogs on … which was a massive help as the wee dudes in training so thanks to whoever you were lol will definitely be back the place is a beautiful well...
Read moreAttended today with our three dogs. Im not sure it could be called a dog forest, but it served a purpose that we didnt want to hire just a field. Not many 'trees' and there are no paths around, very muddy as its just mainly grass. Realise the weather at this time of year, however, as it is just a field with mainly bushes and a couple of tree's, its going to be. Owner has made some effort of firming up some of the ground by adding the plastic matting.
Water butt was empty, there is a large nail on the rear of the shelter at dog head height that could do some damage. There is no means of other guests knowing that the area is in use as the main area is out of sight of the gate.
Overall, just looks a little unkept. Note that there are a couple of donkeys in an...
Read moreIt's a good area for dogs if you don't have overly energetic dogs or you have reactive dogs/reasons to not go on your 'normal' dog walks. There was a gap under the fence towards the back of the park which my miniature dachshund could have squeezed under and escaped so I've marked the review down for that. Additionally, the space is small. It doesn't look as advertised at all tbh. I think because the area is taken up by a lot of undergrowth and some large trees it makes the area feel significantly smaller. I don't think I'll go back, it's not worth it. Don't get me wrong, it's better than the boring empty fields you can hire but honestly it's much smaller and the same price. I don't know what I'd have done if my wee dogs escaped through...
