Enquired with Bedlay Gardens for boarding my 10 year old lurcher, Stella, as I was going away for 3 weeks & they were recommended by other sighthound owners. Got prompt friendly replies for all my questions when I made enquiries. The booking page was straightforward & easy to use, & their fees were competitive. I'd never been asked to take my dogs for an assessment before boarding them before, however I found this process quite reassuring. Yes, I did have to take Stella in & pay for the assessment, but this service means that every dog has been individually assessed before visiting & staff are aware of any potential issues before introducing them to yours. It's only right that the staff's time is compensated for their work, & it helps create a safe environment. The family have a number of their own dogs, including several hounds, and they're knowledgeable about sighthounds, among other breeds. The facilities are lovely. The dogs enjoy plenty of space to run about & explore, with lots of staff supervised time for exercise & socialising; 'sun beds' in the courtyard, plenty of sofas & dog beds in the home, a fire that Stella loved lying next to at night, and great staff that genuinely love dogs. I was concerned about how Stella would manage as I rehomed her a few years ago. I'd never left her for boarding before, & she can get a little anxious in new situations. I needn't have worried, she had a great time. I got plenty of pictures & posts on Facebook so I could see how she was getting on. Stella hung out with all the other hounds, she was wrapped up in PJ's when it got cold, slept snuggled up with hounds & humans on the sofas... she made herself right at home & I think she's adopted her new friends as a second family. I’ve even noticed her social skills have improved since she's been back home, will definitely book...
Read moreAbsolutely outstanding doggy day care and boarding! 10/10! We regularly put our dog Bunny into daycare here and she loves it. She has grown in confidence massively both with people and dogs over just a couple of weeks because of the time and effort the staff put into the dogs here. They tailor their approach to each dog and their needs and are highly knowledgeable of different types of breed and how best to stimulate and look after them. Our Galgo went into boarding here for 5 nights while we were abroad and they went over and above to look after her especially with her separation anxiety and velcro tendencies. They kept in touch daily with pictures, videos and updates of her stay in home boarding. We have only positives to say about the amazing service Bedlay provide, it feels like a home from home for our dog, not just another kennel, and we really couldn't ask for anymore than that. Thank you all so much, you've definitely got a life long...

Which I did think was a bit steep when ur a dog owner u want to make sure ur dog will be looked after as it would at home he took my dog away for about 15 mins and said yes he will be good to board! So my Dog was in from Friday to Sunday first time there I asked if they would send updates didn’t get any until I prompted them. When we went to pick up him the owner was super confused on who we were there for overall am not sure if i would use again just due to the lack of comms and the dog coming back really hungry and thirsty in theory the place looks amazing but due to the size of the place I don’t think they can look after the amount of the dogs they can take in also my dog was unwell when he came back probs due to...
