Attended Sat 29th June 2024. Party of 4 adults (one in a power wheelchair), one 5 year old and one 12 yr old.
I was a bit hesitant of coming with a 5 yr old, as I thought it was going to be a lot of standing around, but I was soon completely at ease.
The place is immaculate. Absolutely spotlessly clean and perfectly maintained. It's so reassuring to see rides that aren't piled up with litter below them..
The grounds are so well kept, each and every verge, walkway and grass bank was as neat as can be. It was great to see plenty of areas that were allowed to have taller grass for ecological balance. .
The layout of the park is really intuitive, all paths lead to some fantastic areas of activity, when you're done, you follow another path and land in another great area of fun.
Ride queues weren't bad at all, so our party was able to access all the rides quite quickly. It's worth noting that the immaculate condition of the park is reflected in the staff. All of them wore a crisp uniform and looked very well presented. .
I was very impressed with the eco credentials of the park. We weren't handed paper maps, we didn't have paper tickets, and didn't encounter very much single use plastic, except for the lids for the hot drink cups.
Rides all worked perfectly, and they looked new, the fences were all freshly painted, the rides shiny and clean, I may be rambling on about this, but the place looked spotless, and that was such a pleasure.
There are plenty of rest areas. Lots of hand washing stations. .
There animal areas need a mention, because I've seen loads of parks where animal exhibits look and feel like add ons, and not particularly well presented. ..not here.... The animal exhibits are fantastic!!
All animal exhibits look brilliant. They're clean and tidy, the animals are actually in there, and all the animals we saw looked healthy and active. Take time for these, they're an attraction all in themselves. The Meerkats are wonderful and the way they're displayed is the best I've ever seen.
There's a lot of new animal things going on and they look so good. We loved seeing staff delivering the branches and leaves to the deer, on a silent and clean electric farm vehicle.
As a wheelchair user, this bit is about the accessibility of Camel Creek.
Firstly, I used a Nimbus Access Card to allow me to bring a carer companion free of charge.
The access at the park has to be rated as good, maybe even very good.
The park is situated on a beautiful bit of undulating farm land, so naturally there are hills and slopes galore. But the way the paths are located and maintained make it ok for power chair users, I also saw a couple of manual chair users coping ok with a person assisting.
There are some slopes that are a little bit scary, especially inside in the area where the inside fish pond is. The slopes outside are pretty much everywhere, but in general they're ok in a chair, with caution. The fact that they're well maintained and don't have many pot holes makes using the pathways so much easier.
The accessible toilet in the soft play area is very nice. It's huge, well laid out and spotlessly clean. The very cleanest I've seen anywhere.
As a disabled visitor, I'd rate Camel Creek as the best visitor attraction I've been to in a very long time.
We'll be...

Hey everyone! Just had the most amazing day out at Camel Creek Family Adventure Park with the whole family – that’s four adults and two little ones (ages 3 and 6). I can’t recommend this place enough, especially with their 7-day unlimited return pass. Honestly, it’s a no-brainer if you’re in the area!
We kicked off our day with Thunder Falls, which quickly became our family favourite. We ended up going on it multiple times – just remember to bring spare clothes because you will get soaked! Totally worth it though, we all had a blast.
Next up was The Dragon roller coaster, and of course, we all hopped on that one together. It was a hit with everyone! Then we ventured into Merlin’s Magical Playground, which was just magical for the kids – they were in their element.
We couldn’t resist a bit of friendly competition, so we all had a go at Shipwreck Shores Adventure Golf. It was such good fun, and the kids loved it! After that, me and River checked out Cornwall’s only 5D Simulator Theatre. He’s not quite tall enough for the big rides yet, but he was absolutely mesmerised by the 3D viewing. Meanwhile, Bodhi, Grant, and Grandad tackled the 5D viewing for the taller ones – they were buzzing after that!
The Clown Coaster was a bit of a let-down for the kids as it felt slow compared to the thrilling Morgawr, which was our absolute favourite roller coaster. We all agreed it was the best ride of the day!
We took a break at Pets Corner, and let me tell you, it was so clean and well-kept – no unpleasant smells! The animals were adorable and made for a lovely pit stop. The Reptile House was another highlight, showcasing some amazing creatures in an equally clean environment.
We started our day with Raging Rivers, and honestly, we could have just kept going on that one! The excitement didn’t stop there; Swampy’s Drop was a giggle, especially for me and the kids – definitely made our stomachs do a little flip in the best possible way! We also enjoyed the Wave Rider, which was a great way to cool off.
Lunchtime was at The Playhouse, where we enjoyed some reasonably priced food that actually tasted good! The drop slide was a massive hit with everyone, too.
If you’re looking for a fun-packed family day out, Camel Creek is where it’s at. With loads of new attractions for 2024 and the buzzing atmosphere of Kids Fest until the end of August, there’s never a dull moment. We were planning to go back tonight, but poor River hasn’t been well. Fingers crossed he’s better soon so we can squeeze in another visit before heading home!
All in all, Camel Creek Family Adventure Park is an absolute gem in Cornwall. Get your family and friends together and make a day of it—you won’t regret it!...
Read moreBefore I begin this 5 star review, please be very aware that Camel Creek is not a normal theme park. If you are expecting adrenaline on a level with Chessington, Thorpe Park or Alton Towers then it is probably best to give this park a miss.
However, what this theme park does brilliantly is being a great introductory theme park for children with rides that even my 5 and 3 year old daughters were allowed to do on their own without parents! Some were close enough together and centralised that you could probably get away with sitting with a coffee and letting the children go from ride to ride, queue independently and then ride all within very clear sight. That said, as this was our first visit, we went to every ride with the children.
The park has a wide array of rides ranging from teacups to a mini log flume to mini rollercoasters, vertical drops, giant slides and an 'adult sized' log flume (take spare clothes or waterproofs). There really is something for everyone as long as you take into account my opening remarks. If you are a hardened thrill seeker then there really is nothing for you!! Queues were largely non-existent and the longest we encountered was about 10 minutes which was great as the children could cope with this waiting time.
In addition to rides, there are a good number of adventure playgrounds, a 5D simulator and soft play areas. There is also a sensory outdoor area to explore, animals to visit including meerkats and reptiles and other areas to venture to as well.
In truth, there is too much to fully do within 1 day and luckily the ticket comes with a 7 day return (just remember to sign up for this before you leave the site).
The only slight issue I could try to have with the park is the fact that lots of it does look very dated. For example, many of the rides could do with a lick of paint, the signage could do with being renewed as much has faded and some of the fencing is not in the best state. That said, these are totally cosmetic issues and this would not stop my family visiting again - we intend to go back in two days...
