Best slip and slide we've been to!!! I took a 5 year old and nearly a 4 year old there. I was a bit worried going there on my own to begin with but we had sooooo much fun!!! We already booked to go there again and my daughter is hoping to have her birthey party there.
Everyone was incredibly helpful, smiley and polite. We saw several familiar faces from the bouncy castles in Newquay, so they are definitely used to madly excited kids.
At the entry they had a massive banner of the rules. We also had a brief introduction by the member of staff.
The structure is made out of wood with a proper staircase, compared to some places that it's scaffolding. I wasn't worried that my children break a leg by walking up the stairs. There were 3 access points to the top, which meant that no one waited long for their turn - everyone was more spread out. There is a lot of grass around, easy access, campsite's cafe very near by.
The actual track is not the longest but I found that it is actually more fun as at least you get a chance to reach the end (I didn't because I had 2 little ones, but I bet I could if I was on my own lol!).
To sum up, I most am certainly going back, I most certainly recommend it and I definitely think it's the best slip and slide in...
Read moreThought we would treat the family for a short outing. I was sadly disappointed with the quality of the slides. I felt there was not enough water running down the slides, you were lucky if you made it half way either on a body board or ring. There were some staff at the top giving you a big push if you were on a ring otherwise you wouldn't move on your own, even with that it was not fast. The other slides using the boards didn't have enough water flow, the board often stuck to the liner whilst the rider would slide off the top. The lower sections were very bumpy and had pools of water where the ground underneath had sunk.
The lazy river was so lazy I had to get out my ring and push my daughter around...
I mentioned these facts to the manager who simply said 'you would get to the end of the slides depending on the boards or rings you had'. But no one was making it that far due to lack of water, gradient and bumps. Didn't get much feedback from him other than I'll mention it to the owner.
We have been to other slides and had great fun hammering all the way to the ends.. not here... the one I made in our garden was quicker....
It was good there were other things like the smaller slides and orbs otherwise we would have been bored...
Read moreIf any guests of Atlantic Reach, (AR) holiday park cottages, or the campsite are wondering about the slip and slide on AR camp ground, we had a great time on Sat 2/08/2023 with the grandkids. Once driving onto the campsite, before getting to the check in, the turning is the first on the left and its location is over to the left….just follow the signs. There are picnic tables alongside for spectators to watch in comfort, there’s an adult at the top of each slide to see each individual down the slide before another boards, a choice of body boards, rubber rings and two person rubber rings to aid you down the water slide. Free parking alongside and a tent adjacent to book a slot if you haven’t done so already online. It also sells for £2.00 a pair, some handy stretch pull on socks with gripper soles in small and medium sizes. The small was just right for our 4 year old and the 8 year old had brought a pair of his own neoprene pull tie shoes with him which were okayed for him to wear. You can’t wear a rubber or plastic sandal, or flip flops though.
Cost of each one hour session is £12.00 and it was well worth it to see their faces light up as each person, whether adult or child slid down...
