The Manor arms — Restaurant in England

I thought I would just share my experience with the food at the manor arms situated on a holiday park at Atlantic reach I was very surprised with the quality of food that was served to us lots of fresh fish dishes and local quality meat dishes available everything from scallops to venison, burgers and much more plenty of choice and something for everyone I had scallop starter and it melted in the mouth it was cooked to perfection not chewy or rubbery which is normally the case at some places the chef clearly knew how to cook fish, belly pork for my main and again cooked to perfection such crispy skin and juicy meat the Jew sauce that came with it was divine and I could of honestly drank that sauce the flavours were next to none! Not one to write reviews usually but just went in with my partner and had nachos & bbq and chicken burger with fries and onion rings each, nachos were okay but for £6 very overpriced… worth about £2 as barely any sauce and stale Doritos the starter of chicken wings came and honestly was just inedible… unseasoned wings with bbq sauce barley drizzled over the top, sent it back as didn’t even want to feed it to my dog who was with us, as for the main there was so much oil the bread was absolutely soaked and lettuce completely floppy and soggy, chips were okay personally but partner didn’t like at all. Onion rings were so oily I had to spit it out into a tissue which was the last thing I wanted to do !! Family run and welcoming. Have a great carvery on Sunday and you need to book a table on Sunday’s only. Good menu choice for both adults and kids. Live music acts through the summer on Wed & Sat evenings. Handy if you’ve booked a stay at a cottage or the campsite adjacent as you can stumble back afterward without having to drive at the end of your evening. Well stocked bar and adjoining conservatory with pool table and room for young kids to have a run about without disturbing visitors in the restaurant and bar. A good outside patio for alfresco dining, or just enjoying a drink in an attractive park setting and adjacent to the outdoor pool. Free parking onsite and open to the public!
