Very happy kids (14, 10, 8) after a full day here in summer hols. So much to do! Took a picnic after reading reviews about cafe so can't comment on food. We've been here before but they seem to keep adding to it which makes it a great place to revisit. No fighting over trampolines, quite a sensible system for bikes (or maybe just very friendly and sensible other visitors on the day we went). Take a towel for the water wars bit and a few quid for animal feed and you're sorted. Loads of parking and can go back out to car for picnic (lockers would have been very handy but luckily my eldest is 14 and watched his brothers while I nipped out to car and back). Be warned nothing is staffed/monitored. Didn't see a member of staff all day except in the cafe and the train driver. I would expect to see a staff presence given there are a lot of activities and people do have questions/ want to know where things are and how things work and accidents do happen! Crazy Golf was an absolute free for all total chaos....could have done with someone checking in and keeping an eye on things. Big let down is the cost. We got in for £9 each with CSSC discounted vouchers(36 for our family) but £56 for a family ticket otherwise is off the chart. I've read management responses to this and heartily disagree that this is reasonable. We have been to White House Farm and Hall Hill Farm and East Links is far and away more expensive. £20 more expensive than Hall Hill which is our favourite and also has more than enough attractions to keep a family busy for a full day....and all free once inside apart from a barrel ride for £1. If we hadn't had a discount the price would definitely have put us off. I can't see from website if this gives you annual membership but...
Read moreWe had a fantastic day out at East Links Family Park with our two children, aged 9 and 6. We were lucky that it was during the week so it wasn't too busy, but there was still enough atmosphere to make it feel like a fun day out.
We started our day with a ride on the narrow gauge railway, which was driven by a friendly and enthusiastic chap called Scott. The kids loved the train ride, and they especially enjoyed waving to the other visitors as we went past.
After the train ride, we spent some time exploring the park. The kids loved the musical maze, the Fortress, and the other activities on offer. They also enjoyed feeding the animals in the petting zoo, and they were particularly excited to see that one of the donkeys was named Jason, after their favourite superhero. 😉
We had lunch at the park café, which served up delicious food at reasonable prices. After lunch, we went for another ride on the train, but this time we were the only ones on board. Scott gave us a great personal tour of the park.
Overall, we had a wonderful day out at East Links Family Park. The kids had a blast, and we would definitely recommend it to other families. Here are some of the things that we particularly liked about the park:
There is a wide range of activities to suit all ages and interests.
The park is clean and well-maintained.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
The food at the café is good and reasonably priced.
We would definitely return to East Links Family Park in the future. It's a great place to spend a day with the family, and we know that our kids would have just as much...
Read moreWe had such fun here and would recommend to anyone looking for a family day out!
There is so much to do in this place but it is definitely for a day that's dry and sunny.
We thought it was a bit on the expensive side initially but you make the experience your own and we ended up having so much fun with our 5-Month old (we're big kids at heart and went on everything that wasn't restricted to just kids).
It's the simplest of things but being able to peddle your own buggy around the track to see the different animals at your own pace just adds a different experience. There's also a musical maze you're able to walk around - our baby loved being able to make and listen to different sounds.
One set back is that we really wanted to pat the highland cow but saw that she was behind an electric fence so didn't want to cause injury - maybe the park owners could find a way to make this possible in the future? We were able to pat one in the deer sanctuary in St Andrews without any issues so unsure why this one was behind an electric fence.
It mentions you can save by buying tickets online in advance but to be honest we barely saved anything over £2 after the fees Eventbrite charges - only benefit is that you're guaranteed entry on the day if it's busy because you've booked in advance.
All in all we had an excellent day out that was pure fun. The staff were fantastic and friendly which is all you...
