The area around the visitor centre and the dam is beatiful and lush this time of year. The visitor centre is small but neat and tidy, with a cafe, gift shop, small display on the history of the dam and toilet facilities (FOC). There is a large car park (FOC for the first hour and then ÂŁ3 all day stay) and there is also a well kept, gated playground for children up to age of 12 on the other side of the visitor centre.
