Excellent day for us and two children aged 11. One adult should supervise up to 2 children until age 14 but I'd be more comfortable just 1 adult per 1 child personally.
It's challenging for adults too so kids will need to be quite brave but there's always members of the Go Ape team around to advise and keep an eye on participants.
By the end of the 2nd circuit, our kids were able to clip themselves on confidently but we did keep checking them to be safe.
Get to Margam Park 30 mins before the start and to the Go Ape start 15 mins before to get checked in and ready.
Don't forget gloves but you can buy some there. Hands can get a little sore after holding your body weight up on ropes etc.
The team are all lovely and always checking people are confident before letting you go off on your own.
It took us 3 hours total, but we weren't particularly rushing. I think if it was just us as adults we'd have been done in...
Read moreBrilliant, very well run and great for an adrenaline fuelled adventure in the trees! My only criticism would be the lack of information regarding your personal belongings and if you can use your mobile phone etc. There wasn't much info online about this. So, you personal belongings can be put into a bag (they provide) and they give you a wrist band so you can collect at the end. You are not allowed to take any belongings up in the trees, in case they fall. You can take a mobile phone up in the trees but you'll need a lanyard and phone pouch attached to this. You can then take your phone up with you to take photos, they sell lanyard and pouches there but you could always to your own if suitable. Would definitely go again and pit myself against the Tarzan...
Read moreTook both daughters here (18 and 14) on a Sunday. We booked in advance, which was a good thing as it was very busy and they wouldn't have been able to participate unless we booked, they had a safety briefing from the wonderfully helpful staff and off they went for 3 hours of fun. Me and the wife went for a walk around Margam Park and occasionally popped back to walk on the footpath under the high structures they were exploring. The had a brilliant time, although the were totally exhausted after. Would definitely recommend this place, the price is definitely worth the amount of fun they had. Only thing we didn't expect and was slightly expensive was the £7 to park at the Margam...
