Lovely caravan, motorhome and campsite, toilet block small but immaculate, two showers and three toilets in each (male and female) Never had to wait for a shower. There's also a great washing up sink with hot water! Nice views if you are at the top of the site. Owners are very helpful and can't do enough to make your stay as good as it can be. Pitches are a mix of hardstanding and grass. We were put on a grass pitch (we'd booked hard standing) but it was absolutely fine.

The local roads are not really cycling friendly (too many cars, l had to keep stopping to let the queue pass) but half a mile from the site is the old railway which is a beautiful cycle path that takes you to Bath (7 miles) and Bristol (9 miles) it's perfect for a ride and you can carry on past Bath on the cycle path if you are more adventurous.

There's also a steam train which runs up and down the line next to the path at weekends which is great if you are a rail enthusiast.

The ONLY downside of the site is the road next to it, during rush hour it's actually not bad because the lines of cars are all going slowly and there's just a background hum of traffic.

Sadly later on there are fewer cars but they don't obey the 30mph speed limit past the site so make more noise. You'd think that by 11pm it would be quiet but cars are still tossing up and down the road until close to midnight when it finally goes quiet.

The upper field is a child free zone but you can go on the lower field with kids. A lot of the guests seem to be Dutch and they are lovely people.

We would definitely visit this site again! lt's no noisier than the site we visited in Chester, or Windermere which were also near main roads. And we've been back to both.

We didn't use the car during our stay. There's bus stops nearby that take you to Bath or Bristol and it's only £4 return. From Bristol, Clifton is a ten...

Just left here after using it as a base to visit Bath not far away. Julie and Victor met us by gate and are very friendly and helpful. Parked campervan and they brought and extra long electric hook up cable for us it's standard practice. So helpful in informin us about the green air program in Bath as we knew nothing about it. Gave us a phone number to call. Mon-fri 9-430 pm. But you can pay the tariff online £9 a day so they saved us a fine. Lovely gravel pitch large fields. Spotless showers and toilets. On site on Friday was a van selling freshly cooked homemade pizza straight out of the oven. We ordered ours for 730 pm and it was stunning for only £10. Nothing else to say other than will definitely be returning and highly recommended for friendliness clean and safe place to enjoy a lovely break. Sorry no photos of campsite as left in morning early and came home late at night.which was ok as we made no noise to disturb other...

My first reaction as we arrived at this site was “oh, wow… this is niiiiiicceee!!” The friendly owners were there to meet us at the gate and help us settle in. They were also super friendly over the phone when I called to reserve, which left a really good first impression. Upon arrival, you may think that the sites are uneven because it appears to be hilly… but the sites are actually well level. I particularly enjoyed laying on the soft grass just feeling the earth beneath me. While enjoying a wine on the grass, we could hear the horses in the background and could also see some deer hopping in the field opposite. Great transport links (only about seven minutes walk) to catch a bus directly into Bristol, which we did. It didn’t take too long, about 40 mins through the lively suburbs. Pitches are well spaced. We had a great time staying here and will happily stay again and...

My mom and I were staying at several different campsites for two weeks (each campsite one night) and Knights Folly was the one place we decided to stay three nights because we felt welcome from the first second. Julie and Victor are an unbelievably friendly couple with their little dog lilly. The bathrooms are very clean and Julie makes sure it stays that way. Every morning we saw her doing some cleaning around the campsite. Victor asked about our plans and gave great advice. They are after all locals and know their way around. There’s electricity, hot showers (free), drinking water, chemical disposal etc. everything you need. I can recommend the Knights Folly Camsite with all my heart. It’s quite near to Bristol (40min by train) and about 30min to Bath.
