Great spot for fantastic scenery and good roads (outside of busy times). Limited parking, there are two car parks almost opposite each other, but spaces are quite limited (I think you need to get there early)! There is further on road (designated) parking around half a mile away, but this is limited by clear "tow away" signage, so park at your peril if not in the clearly signed areas.

The views at Llyn Ogwen are very impressive when the weather is clear, as it was when I visited, and thankfully for drone flying (my reason for going) the wind was practically non existent.

Walkers using the car parks in the main to climb the hill opposite the Llyn, but be warned, it can be a fairly treacherous climb (as witnessed on the Welsh Mountain Rescue...

I’ve added plenty of photos of this half of walk to give an insight into...

If, like us you had a hectic day at Betwys y coed then instead of taking the road back through Llanrwst why nor drive up the hill, stop off and view the Swallow Falls for a few quid entrance fee and stop off at one of the many little parking spots by Lake Ogwen. Take your fold up chairs and have a relax at the side of the lake and view the stunning scenery. It's about a 15 minute drive to Lake Ogwen and there is a small cafe with parking as the last stop if you fancy a brew! There is nothing to do but read your book or kindle, and that's the hidden...
