Great spot for fantastic scenery and good roads (outside of busy times). Limited parking, there are two car parks almost opposite each other, but spaces are quite limited (I think you need to get there early)! There is further on road (designated) parking around half a mile away, but this is limited by clear "tow away" signage, so park at your peril if not in the clearly signed areas.
The views at Llyn Ogwen are very impressive when the weather is clear, as it was when I visited, and thankfully for drone flying (my reason for going) the wind was practically non existent.

Read moreThe circular hike around Llyn Ogwen is not an easy walk. But once completed you will have a feeling of accomplishment! And the views are amazing!! One half of the lake trek is fine as it is the pavement that runs alongside the A5 road. The next half is a public footpath maintained by the national trust. But it’s not really a footpath. Read moreIf, like us you had a hectic day at Betwys y coed then instead of taking the road back through Llanrwst why nor drive up the hill, stop off and view the Swallow Falls for a few quid entrance fee and stop off at one of the many little parking spots by Lake Ogwen. Take your fold up chairs and have a relax at the side of the lake and view the stunning scenery.
