Parkdean Resorts Limefitt Holiday Park, Lake District — Attraction in Great Britain

Just like White Cross Bay and Fallbarrow Holiday Park, Parkdean Resorts never failed to amaze me with the stunning views and excellent accommodation they provide for their guests.

Limefitt's on-site shop is great with a variety of groceries and everyday needs for your stay (located to the left of the barrier as you come in) Also, the Haybarn Inn is a friendly little pub with a selection of drinks and tasty food. There are a few arcade machines (some 18+) and a variety of games such as, darts, pool, a fun hook game (you have to swing a ring attached to a rope from the ceiling onto a hook three times in a row to win a free drink and your photo + name on the wall) and multiple television screens. There is even a real fire inside which is lovely to warm up to after a nice scenic stroll round the park.

Now, the accommodation. We stayed in a terrific lodge (13 Kirkstone, Badger's Rest) It had lovely comfortable beds, two televisions, two bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen including, a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, oven, etc. The inside and out was very well kept, neat and tidy! I appreciate how they take good care of the caravans and lodges.

My only complaint is the WiFi connection in our lodge. (Hence the star being taken off) We had to keep reconnecting every 2-5 minutes and it only really worked well in the pub, which of course was frustrating and a bit inconvenient when the leaflets made us scan a qr code to view information, when we couldn't even get online. I'm not saying this is an issue with all the accommodation, but it was definitely a stand-out issue for us, please do improve this.

Overall though, I think Limefitt Holiday Park was an amazing experience for us and I would consider recommending this to others! We will definitely be coming back another time and we hope you can improve the...

Nice little place, peaceful and quiet. However I feel that the cost which was almost a grand for a week was excessive. I paid £170 upgrade fee to bring my dogs and they said that wasn’t for the dogs and charged me an extra £100 a few days before our holiday. This had to come out of spending money which resulted in us needing to leave 2 days early as we ran out of funds! When we arrived we saw 1 staff member in the office who I got the keys off. There was not one point at all during the entire visit where any staff member could have possibly known we had the dogs with us. They didn’t check or ask any questions. I am annoyed that I was conned into paying an extra £100 days before as there is no way they would have known! If I had not already paid the £170 upgrade for the dogs then I wouldn’t have minded paying £100, but in total it cost me an extra £270 for the dogs. This is ridiculous. Also there was no entertainment and the bar is only open 2 days a week for breakfast. Good to use as a base but would have been nice if there were staff to point us towards activities to do local. We didn’t know what to do or even if we could visit one of their other sites. I wouldn’t use them again, as the only reason we went on this holiday is because they refused to refund me for a holiday booked last year that we couldn’t go to based on personal circumstances and they didn’t care. I think they care about money more than customers. Cottage was nice (Borrowdale) my partner fixed the living room door as the hinges weren’t on properly and the door wouldn’t close! Some things in need of replacement and repairs need doing. Also the cleaning staff aren’t the best as there was crumbs on the floor and a dirty stain on the sofa that I cleaned myself and it came puff quite easily so why hadn’t their cleaners...

Stayed for one week (not long enough) in Pheasant's Nest Lodge at Limefitt Park. The Lodge is beautifully appointed, just as in the resort photos, and very clean with everything you need even down to a washing machine. A nice touch was that The owners Jenny and Gerry left a welcoming note explaining how everything worked. There were even dishwasher tablets and cleaning cloths etc and also central heating for the chillier evenings and I loved the Pheasant theme throughout and the lodge is very light and airy.. This Lodge has absolutely beautiful views from its outside decking and plenty of outside seating is provided. The adjacent parking bay has room for two cars. ||The site is ideal for families with children with a fenced play area and a large sports field with goalposts and tennis net and a gentle stream. There is also a shop on site for those forgotten emergency essentials. The on site Haybarn Inn pub is at the top of a steep hill which may be difficult if you are infirm or elderly but ok otherwise and we are in our 70s.' It sells a variety of different meals and also has a games room and outdoor seating area.||||The site seemed quite safe to let the older children walk around by themselves. The free wi fi is a bit hit and miss at times but you can pay and log into a faster one if needs be.||||The site is easy to find and only a short distance from Ambleside, although there were long traffic queues at the weekend. In the opposite direction is Bowness and easy access to the rest of the lake district. Nearby on the way to Ambleside is "Brockholes", an adventure centre with lots of parking, where our grandchildren spent many happy hours on the tree-top nets and assault course and zip wire.||||I would definitely recommend this site as a centre for...
