This was our first time visiting the freedom field Run free dog field at Bargeddie and it will definitely be our only visit. We found the field to be completely covered in other dogs dirty mess not picked up. Tons of broken and left tennis balls, dog water dishes scattered around bent and absolutely covered in muck. The field a mushy mucky mess all due be it due to alot of wet weather conditions recently. But I really think this field needs a lot of love and attention to bring it up to a better standard. We normally use unleash the dogs at uddingston and for a cheaper price you get a spotless field with agility equipment. Where this field was £7 and had nothing positive about it. She's a lurcher and like a lot of prey dogs is on lead most of the time, even if it is a 10m or 30m one BUT here we let her fly in the freedom field. Yes it was muddy but it's a field so we were prepared for that and we will continue to go ready for the fun. It was clean no doggy poo that we could see. We visit every week. The mezzo park and freedom park have a closed gate system when you park. You can just open the boot n let the weans and dogs free.
However the larger jumbo field is about a 100m walk which can be a little stressful as it’s beside the road if you have young children. I recommend booking the mezzo field.
