I have been a season pass holder for about 15 years and have really enjoyed my seat in the Roger Millward stand. Last summer a Medical episode left me disabled with an inability to walk properly without sticks. Climbing stairs is particularly difficult . Pre season I tried to buy a disabled carers pass for my wife who does not normally attend so she can help me up the stairs. This was declined at the club shop because I don't claim disability benefit. I was told to bring proof of my disability from my neurologist. I did so.This was deemed to be inadequate. So now I have to get to the second floor of the stadium when the lift only goes to the first floor. I bought a disabled car parking ticket for £60 to go with my blue badge to get me closer to the turnstile and was told a steward would be waiting for me half an hour before kick off. They have failed to appear. Craven Park is inadequate for the disabled and the attitude of the club...
Read moreI went to watch the Challenge Cup QF between Warrington and KR (I am a Warrington fan). Stewards were rude, aggressive, unhelpful and refused to listen. When I asked where the toilets were as it was my first time visiting the stadium I was ignored. Also, some Warrington fans had been playing a drum which they had a letter with permission saying they were allowed to play the drum and the club were aware. When they showed this letter to the stewards they did not listen to this and decided to take the drum. In the final minutes of the match they took the drum back and played it quietly to boost atmosphere. In reaction, the stewards became overly aggressive and violent towards an innocent Warrington fan. Myself and my family felt that the stewards ruined what could have been a pleasant experience. Another journey to craven park will most likely not be happening as my sister was scared by...
Read moreWatched my first game here with fanatical Rovers fan friends. It's actually a nice stadium, we had a great time, even though Rovers didn't do great on this occasion. It's nice to have the freedom to move around and go all the way up to the pitch side barriers, it gives you a much better perspective and feel for what's happening on the field. The facilities are much better than expected too, with several bars, selling lots of drink options for really reasonable prices, having snack options available too. Best to take a jacket sometimes, as it can get quite breezy in the stand we noticed. Great fun, even for those not hugely...
