ALDI — Local services in Great Britain

I now shop here regularly as its literally five minutes from my house. However regardless of that I'd always shopped with a mix of M&S, Sainsburys, Tesco and Waitrose. When the lockdiwn of March 2020 began I stopped that and decided only to shop locally and that getting out and back as fast as possible would minimise the risk of catching any germs. I was really surprised to discover how low the prices are and the choice. The discovery that not only are some items as good as brand names, some are actually better! About 12 months ago this Aldi was quite possibly the worse Aldi that I've shopped in. Compared to the other Aldi stores in the Hull area. However, in the past couple of weeks I've visited this store on a couple of times and the difference isn't amazing. Yes ok , not yet up to the standards office other Aldis but it has not been updated since it first opened. Lot more staff in filling shelves and on tills. No self service tills One thing I have I'veis that the Sunday opening hours differ at this branch instead of 10.00 am to 4.00 pm, they are 11.00 am to 5 00 pm. Very strange. It was fine, same as other times I've been. Although not been for a while. The purpose of this visit was to get snacky type foods and a few sweets for my child going on a 2 day/ overnight trip, and needs some bits and bobs for travelling so he's not spending a fortune in service stations along the way. Shelves seemed well stocked, no bare shelves that I noticed. Lots of Christmassy stuff arriving and special Christmas foods coming in.
