We have 2 rescued street podencos from Spain that require an enclosed safe and secure area, so a local resource (Hillington ) like this is really appreciated. It's really the only opportunity our 2 dogs can run freely off the lead. Frankly I wouldn't use Unleash The Dogs if it didn't meet these standards, but I'm happy to say that this resource is perfect for our needs. I'm hoping that area will be maintained and checked regularly for holes and gaps in the fence, but so far It seems fine. It wonderful to watch our 2 pods running freely at last and having fun negotiating the obstacle course. The play area has plenty of stuff to keep the dogs entertained as well as shelter for the owners. Available water and poo bags are a welcome touch. We've already used this resources quite a few times and will continue to do so. Personally we find 30 minutes a bit too short so we have to book 2 time slots together. Dogs already incur a lot of expenses with food, vaccinations, vets appointments and insurance etc, so I'm hoping the price of Unleash The Dogs won't go up in the future. At the beginning I found it almost impossible to find suitable time slots for my dogs, but it seems to have become much easier with the introduction of the 2nd play area adjacent to the original one. The booking process is pretty straightforward too, but it's wise to think ahead when booking. One small criticism would be that there seems to be spaces between the bars at the entrance gates sufficient for small dogs to squeeze through. Perhaps covering it with chicken wire might solve this problem. I haven't used this place in the autumn or winter so I can't comment on the condition of the field during bad weather - but bad weather doesn't stop good dog owners from exercising their dogs. Apparently the owner sometimes reduces the amount of time slots in rainy weather to allow the field to drain. So there you go. The only thing missing is a Starbucks on site! 😀 Thank you for this resource. We'll keep coming back as long as there are no gaps in the perimeter fence where the...
Read moreIt's great to see more places like this becoming available. Being able to let your dog run around without any fear of someone else's dog attacking it or your own dog running up to someone and scaring them is brilliant. Have used a few different ones before but this one is the best equipped. Means you can add in activities to your dog routines that they normally wouldn't get. A bit of brain teasing rather than just running around after things. The field itself is very large. Loads of equipment for the dogs to climb on and run around on. Due to the 1 month of rain in 24 hours recently the field has suffered a little bit didn't look like it will need long before it's back to better saturation levels. There are rubber mats positioned just as you go in the field so this stops signs 90% of the mud getting on your shoes. The rest of the field is already in ok condition. The small areas for shelter also had water for the dogs and can be refilled from the barrel that is there. There are pooh bags as you enter if you have forgotten your own and bins for dog and general waste. There is seating in this area as well as a bench in the main field. The parking as you go in could probably hold about 8 cars si no problems with parking. Overall a great experience and we now be my regular one due to the better and larger range...
