An excellent idea for an attraction. Treetop Nets had my children so excited, I thought they might explode. When they saw it from the car park, their eyes lit up. To be honest I really wasn't sure as an adult what to expect. I'd booked it for my partner, myself and our 2 girls, hence the 4 stars rather than 5. The cost. Including booking fee, it came to just over £80 for the 4 of us. I have to say, even after having been, I still feel this is a bit much, even for 2 hours. That said, I think the attraction is excellent, and I need not have worried, the adults had just as much fun as the little ones. I secretly took great joy in making the nets wobble and watching my partner fall over. She got a bit annoyed after a while, which I thought was even funnier. An super fun afternoon, and because we'd booked the last slot, we pretty much had the place to ourselves by the end. Actually, we didn't book the last slot, we booked the 2nd last slot, but were held up by traffic. I called and said we were running 20 minutes late, and they happily very helpfully, moved us to the last slot. Super helpful and friendly staff. If all that wasn't good enough, there's an excellent play park right next door, a good little shop, selling lovely ice cream and nice clean toilets. There's also loads to do in the adjoining country park, woodland and lakeside walks, archary, go carts and boat hire to name a few. Overall, I'd highly...
Read moreWe visited Brockhole on Saturday the 31st of August and decided to go for the Full Trek. All the staff I encountered were happy and friendly, and when on the rope course, you have great peace of mind knowing they can access you at any point if someone needs assistance. The Full Trek had balancing beams, tightropes, and ziplines throughout the course and can be moderate to difficult depending on how you traverse the obstacles (don't hold your harness for the real experience) The location itself was great with loads of stuff to do, the grounds are well maintained, and there's something for all ages, from boat tours, a well equipped play area, and even bicycle hire. The site is easily accessible via bus, but bare in mind they don't have any storage lockers, so travel lightly. The team did look after our belongings until we had finished, but I can imagine this wouldn't be possible for larger groups as space was limited in the reception. It would be nice of the person who's cutting the cheques and taking the profits to install some lockers on the site under a cctv system so the staff aren't expected to deal with people's personal belongings while they're busy working. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're in the area with kids who need to burn some energy. They won't be disappointed. Thank you again, team Zipworld, for helping to create core...
Read moreTreeTops is an excellent way to spend a couple of hours on the side of Windermere with the family (those that are active and are ok with heights!).. two small detractors are that much of the views overlook the car park.. and the first part doubles up with the young family route so beginners in front ensure a 10-15min high walk becomes a 40min one for the first part.. the parts that stand out are the ‘5’ zip wire segments culminating in what must be one of the longest ones I have been on at the end!.. A member of the family in front of us chose to not complete the second part, instead had the opportunity to go on the last Zip wire twice.. I did hear that you can, for a small additional fee, go again on last zip. jewellery including rings need to be removed or taped up, they did have some basic tape but you are better off taking your own.. The views otherwise of the park and the lake were lovely.. as an added bonus RAF F16 fighter jets did a flyby.. Brockhole has other activities on offer (Archery; Minigolf; Badminton etc).. There are food huts at the entrance and one serving ice cream at the other end of the park.. The toilets were in working order (one situated under the Treetop nets and the other near the GoKart track).. Overall...
