Far more positives to this lovely little nature reserve than negatives. The area is clean and tidy and has loads of different paths that you can walk on. There is a nice little park for the kids to have a play on and a small pond with an information board to help you identify the wildlife. The only two downsides are the one side of the nature reserve is quite close to the bypass, meaning there is a fair bit of traffic noise. The other small problem is there are no bins to put your dog waste in, although I do understand that they can be a bit unsightly especially somewhere like this it would still be nice just to have one or two dotted around. These are only very small points and in all honesty take nothing away for what was a very enjoyable walk.

We really enjoyed our walk here, vast open woodland great for kids to explore and still be in view running through the rows of trees. The only disappointment being the play area we was expecting was gone when we got to the end of the loop so the kids weren't happy. Car park is small, but people were coming and going constantly so wouldn't wait long and I think you can park on the street outside. Definitely recommend here over a trip to somewhere like Delamere. Take a picture of the map because the paths were fairly hard to follow about half way around. Highly recommended and we'll definitely visit again.

Maes y Pant was originally referred to as Gresford and Marford Quarries and covers a large area West of the villages. It's undulating woodland where you can walk your dog or yourself or run our cycle round on your mountain bike(it's shared space so respect other users). A circular route is approximately three miles if you go right round and there is a small car park on Pant Lane with additional Street parking.

I went here yesterday for a walk with a group of people who do "Loony Lab Walks" this was the first time i had been to the park, and i thoroughly enjoyed it. Its a beautiful location for a normal walk or to take the dogs, although be aware that when you park in the car park, keep your dogs on their leads until you get into the park, as you can get people come up to you trying to give you a fine, they are not the police so don't feel like you need to give them your name...
