A Serene Escape at Newlands Corner ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Newlands Corner is an absolute gem nestled in the heart of Surrey’s countryside. Whether you're looking for a peaceful walk, breathtaking views, or a spot to relax and enjoy nature, this place has it all. The panoramic vistas across the Surrey Hills are simply stunning, especially on a clear day when you can see for miles. The walking trails are well-marked and cater to all fitness levels, making it ideal for families, dog walkers, or anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle. The woodland paths offer shaded areas, which are perfect during the warmer months, and there are plenty of places to sit and soak in the tranquility. There’s a small café on-site that serves refreshments, which is a lovely addition for a post-walk treat. Newlands Corner is also rich in wildlife and wildflowers, making it a photographer’s paradise. It’s a beautiful spot all year round, whether in the vibrant colors of autumn or the fresh greenery of spring. Parking is easy and affordable, and the area never feels too crowded, even on weekends. If you’re in Surrey, Newlands Corner is a must-visit for a relaxing day out amidst nature’s beauty.

As long as you can get parked (because it gets seriously busy on weekends and bank holidays) this place has great views, a great food kiosk (hot food, drinks, ice cream etc), some good walks, toilets and is generally clean and well maintained. Top tip- head down the back path through the woods, sticking close the road, and you'll come across the beautiful old Yew trees that are fascinating and worth seeing. Alternatively, cross the road and walk down along the footpaths to the Silent Pool. From the main car park though, you can walk all the way through to Guildford if you keep on going. Popular with dog walkers and even more popular with bikers. Burgers and chips are recommended and the visitor centre isn't bad. Also good tea and milkshakes if you just want a drink. There are mountain bike tracks in the woods behind and the slope is also a good spot to head to with your toboggan when it snows :)

I visit here most Sundays as its a known motorcycle meet on a Sunday afternoon. Nothing official, just bikers stopping here for a bite to eat or coffee from the on site tea/food hut. Good chance to look at some nice bikes and if you feel chatty...chat to the riders. There is ample car parking and loads of directions to walk if you are a walker. Very popular with dog walkers too. All sorts of burgers, ice creams, sausage rolls, hot and cold drinks all for sale from the tea hut. It can get busy so be prepared for a wait. Decent toilets are available for public use in a separate building behind the tea hut.

Much-loved and hugely popular beauty spot just 15 minutes drive from the centre of Guildford. The spectacular views across the Surrey Hills and variety of walking trails are a magnet for dog walkers, ramblers and serious hikers alike. At weekends, motorcyclists gather to socialise, grab bacon butties and sup coffee from the excellent onsite cafe before heading out for Sunday rides. I can highly recommend "The Plucky Pheasant" across the (albeit busy) main road for great food and drink and friendly staff. Breakfast is not to be missed!

Extremely beautiful relaxing place one hour drive from London. Exceptional 360° views, with all facilities (food, drinks, lavatories). Highly recommend as a family day out or romantic picnic. Great choices for walks (long or challenging uphill clime). We stumbled on this outstanding place by accident by driving by, and then returning to check what was that beauty . Unfortunately can get a bit noisy with the bikers, but once you walk further away from parking, this place is nothing more than relaxing nature noise

Some lovely landscapes to be seen here, great place for walks, hikes, running and cycling, it's dog heaven they live running free. On a cloudy day like today the views were still great, on a clear sunny summers day the views are breathtaking. After your walk, hike etc etc, you can grab a bite to eat and some drinks at the ever popular cafe, on sites. There are toilets should you need and a little visitors room where you can educate yourself on the surroundings, this is especially liked by the children .
