My friend and I visited this lovely estate today. The house was open to visitors, this weekend and next- 6-8 December. Every room is packed with beautiful gifts to buy. You pay your £2 entrance fee as you drive into the estate. Just before you go into the house, on the left is a little snack bar and also a lady selling mulled wine and mulled cider. For refreshments, there's a Cafe beyond the house out in the stables. It's lovely and warm there. Both my friend and I had a warming bowl of soup. My friend had the Broccoli and Stilton, I had the Butternut squash and Sweet potato. With it came an amazing cheese scone. This great delight was well worth the £5.50 price tag. When you go into the house, ladies are standing there handing out large, see- through recyclable bags for you to put your items in and then you pay on your way out.
