Beautiful gardens, hidden away in the Avon valley east of Bristol. Visited in late May, full of huge peonies, irises and much more, and some fine trees including a stunningly majestic walnut in the orchard meadow (very romantic with the cow parsley and white lilies in the long grass). Sadly most of the tree ferns have died, but comparing to pictures of the original Bannerman design, the new owners seem to be doing an amazing job tending to and updating these gardens.
