One of our favourite places to walk with our dog. Wonderful in all seasons but it is an area of nationally scarce lowland heath so wildlife takes priority. Because of this dogs should be under control & on main paths not free roaming amongst the sensitive habitats. Paths are wide, gravelled & generally good but some get very muddy in wet weather. All the different little paths are interesting but there are no (or least that I came across) open areas to walk through and arguably can begin to feel a little claustrophobic. Yes there are some areas that you can look out across but you can't readily walk through them.
