Very lovely, small family run business.

We popped in for just an hour to fill some time and they were happy to accommodate. There's tonnes of games on offer for a range of players and running times so you have plenty to choose from. We played a beautiful modern recreation of an ancient Roman game - very easy to follow and lots of fun - but there's loads of classics too. You can make it your regular haunt or stay here for hours and you won't run out of games to play. No need to feel daunted if you're new to board games, the owners are friendly and on hand to make recommendations and get you started.

Great date night or social spot that doesn't revolve around alcohol or phones which is definitely refreshing too. They had a few vegan and vegetarian options so great for a group of mixed requirements on that front. Very affordable at £2 per person per hour to play games with the option to get affordable food and drinks on top of that.

Would 100% recommend.

It was our first visit to Food and Board today and I have so much love for this place! What a hidden gem! We have been to lots of gaming cafes with adult groups, our teenage daughter and the little ones. Today I wanted some special time with our 3 year old so thought we would give this a try. I didn't have high hopes as lots of gaming cafes don't cater for tiny children. This one did! They have an amazing catalogue of board games, he was kept occupied for 3 hours! The owners are really lovely, knowledgeable and made us feel right at home straight away. They have an excellent selection of hot drinks, milkshakes (yum), soft drinks and even wine. We enjoyed the food we had (nachos are great comfort food). I even bought a board game to bring home. I will definitely be back with all the kids and might even come for a date with my husband if we can get a sitter 💗 😂 Also... Parking is free,...

Amazing service and good prices not only for the coffee but also the time spent there! At £2 per adult,per hour it leaves room to depart the world of reality and submerge yourself into any game of your choosing. Giving families (like mine) quality time needed to reconnect and all within a budget suitable for all.

For 4 adults for one hour, 2 hot drinks and 2 tortilla chip bowls £18.40. If you have no drinks or food it's only £8 for one hour for 4 people. And they are certainly not stingy on the caffeine, smiles or tortilla chips and dip!
