This is a very large walled garden within the Castle Hoard Estate. Within it are various areas for both relaxation and for growing food which is used in the restaurant. During the COVUD pandemic, the number of entrances to the gardens have been reduced. They are also much quieter as the numbers in the grounds are now controlled.

We had a wonderful time, having spent over a year in shielding this was our first real day out with family. We had a wonderful experience and felt we had plenty of room with social distancing working really well in all areas. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 well done Castle Howard staff.

Was hear again just a few days ago. What a great place to travel to, especially the last mile or two. Im fond of their eatery and local foo, with plenty of places to chill and eat. Very well kept garden and has a not too long walk mapped out around the grounds

Un buen sitio para visitar, el jardin las vistas y la casa son dignas de visitar. Ahora bien prepara la cartera porque es un atraco y un insulto. El precio de entrada para dos adultos es de 52£, que bueno eso es asumible. Pero ni se te ocurra acercarte al restaurante a comer algo tras una larga mañana de disfrute de las vistas. ES UN SELF-SERVICE CUTRE, CON MALA CALIDAD DE LA COMIDA Y UN PERSONAL COMPLETAMENTE INCOMPETENTE. UNA PATATA ASADA CON ALGO DE QUESO, UNA SOPA DE TOMATE Y DOS CACHOS DE JAMÓN COCIDO POR 54£. ADEMAS TIENEN LA POCA VERGÜENZA DE PREGUNTARTE SI QUIERES DEJAR PROPINA, UN VERDADERO INSULTO. Si te gusta malgastar dinero este es el sitio ideal. ADEMÁS CARECE DE NINGUNA AMBIENTACIÓN NI DECORADO NI TRATO AL PERSONAL PARA JUSTIFICAR EL GASTO.
