We visited this park today and were pleasantly surprised to see all the new play equipment which I think went in last year (2022). This now means there are a bunch of different play areas to explore off the main large green space though only the one by the cafe is fenced off for little ones. The duck play set is absolutely brilliant and entertained my 6 year old as much as the 10mo today. Some really good adventure climbing frames for older kids too. Park facilities are good with a small cafe (not much indoor seating on cold days like today though) that does very basic hot drinks and snacks (think: machine coffee, prepackaged snacks and hot pasties rather than anything more exciting - the cafe at Milton country park is much better for nutritious food and good coffee for example). There are little seating areas - covered and uncovered - throughout the main green as well as a few BBQs to use. Toilet block was clean enough if a bit brisk in the chill today. The country centre has warmer loos and changing table and was open today because of the indoor boot sale (last Sunday of every month, I think). I'm not sure if this building is usually open though. The park itself is great - lots of lovely woodland, den building areas and lakes that we've explored on warmer days plenty of times. Good tracks for family bikes or walking too. I've seen some reviewers from last summer mentioning the lack of benches and shade near equipment - that's been corrected now though the trees will take some time to get big enough for good shade! A really good spot for a family day outdoors whatever the weather.

Looking good. Hadn't been here for about 6yrs and not a lot has changed. There does seem to have been a lot of work going on in the various wooded areas clearing fallen and rotted trunks and creating hides etc for kids to play and be adventurous. Nice to see a couple of new apparatus in some areas of the park for kids to jump and climb on. Was a very pleasant walk around the entire park on the man-made pathways skirting the various lakes, river and ponds and through the woods. The Park was very quiet with few people about. Well worth a re-visit from our perspective and we really enjoyed it. We didn't visit the café. Car park was £1 for 2hrs but we paid £2 and got parking for 5hrs+.

Love it here! Beautiful surroundings including rivers, lakes and wonderful walkways. The whole area is perfectly maintained & there are plenty of seats to just take time to appreciate the surroundings. There's a lovely café, toilets and areas to sit close to this (if you wish to eat outside, great if you've brought your dog!). There are fabulous play areas for children & outside gym equipment. There's also a safe, covered area to lock up bicycles. The car park is £2.00 for 6 hours (& there's a £1.00 ticket available for a shorter stay). All in all a brilliant experience and well worth a visit or two.

Lovely place! lots of space to walk around including woodlands, open fields and lakes. Enough to spend a few hours meandering around, or an hours quicker paced walk if you cover the whole area. The paths do take you quite close to main roads so be careful with dogs off-lead. Favourite time to go is the Autumn as the range of trees and foliage make for very pretty walking in the woods. You can use it to get to other footpaths towards Godmanchester. Parking isn't ample so when it's a popular time expect to squeeze into somewhere or to wait. The café is basic but caters for all needs. You can certainly get a good cup of tea and bacon sandwich - with nice outdoor seating. There is a park area for children and plenty of field space near the café for playing with footballs and flying kites which is always...

Lovely big country park, the parking prices are good, up to 2 hours is a pound, & up to 6 hours is two pounds, free if you have a blue badge. We didn't go all around as we were with small children, but we did see at least 3 play areas they also have an apiary, where you can stand behind the screens & see the bees, unfortunately we didn't see them collecting the honey. There is a cafe selling hot drinks, sandwhiches, & ice creams, & also there was a smaller food truck with ice creams & pizza, there are plenty of places to sit and eat your food, & a few of them are covered little shelters, It has a good few different walks for a decent leg stretch, & we saw a sign that said there is extra parking at the hospital if needed, which is just across the road, i will update further with photos when we go...
