Been having lunch here whilst visiting my elderly mother in the hospital & although convenient I wouldn't say that the food here is very healthy except for the salad. The hot food is not very hot when served up so once you've been through the station, paid for your food & found a table the food is barely warm. It would help if the plates were kept warm but they are not. The nutritional information is displayed but most of the food appears to be high in fat & salt. The carbohydrate content is not shown except for sugar content which is not helpful to a diabetic counting carbs. The sandwiches being sold also do not provide healthy choices as it all seems to be white bread & no wholemeal bread variety"s. No nutritional info is shown either. I would of thought being a hospital restaurant the choices could have been more healthy. So, although being convenient I wouldn't make it my first choice...
Read moreEvery time I go there are no hot Vegan options . A cold sandwich on a cold Winter’s day is unappealing . On one occasion I was told it was because it was a Friday ! The other day , the only Vegan options ( a Began chilli and jacket potato ) had sold out within an hour .. the Restaurant is open till 2 .30 pm . Surely more should be prepared ?
Come on Manager , please have hot Vegan options every day of the week and enough till at least 2 pm . Vegan curries , quiche , pasta or rice salads , bolognese , chilli etc etc are all good options .
I feel you are stuck I the 80 s and need to modernise a little for the 2020 s when plant - based diets are more prevalent and better for our planet .
