Worth a visit if in the area. The main car park is pay and display. It costs £2 for the first hour which you can pay with cash unfortunately the machine was broke. You can pay by various apps however, This depends on you having a phone signal. The best views are from the top of the viaduct. If you walk up the hill at the back of the ticket machine the top of the viaduct is a short walk to the left. You can do a small circular walk which will take you beneath it and then around to the top.

A short walk from Bakethin car park the viaduct is impressive from below and above, follow the trail along the river from the car park and you eventually end up on top of the viaduct itself. Great walk and scenery with super views, well worth a visit.

The Kielder viaduct provides some exceptional views from the top, which is just a few minutes walk from the Bakethin car park - well worth a visit! The car park is pay & display, but the machines only take coins...

The viaduct was too wet and too high up for me to climb - there was also a stray walrus who stole my M&S strawberry’s and cream sandwich - I had gone all the way to Kielder to try this sandwich because I wanted the first experience to be special. However the walrus made this experience unpleasant. I also had my toupee snatched by an unattended child who was up to no good. NOT IMPRESSED KIELDER VIADUCT...
