Really lovely place to visit I've been quite few times since I discovered it because it's such a lovely find! Firstly there is a great car park not massive but it's enough for what it is! There's a lovely cafe that serves food hot drinks and icecreams for the kids in an assortment of flavours. One scoop on a cone is only about £1 which I think is a bargain. The cafe has toilet facilities which I must say are not cracking and I don't think there is a disabled or baby change! The toilets almost look like a part building site with really hard old toilet seats! This is a bit of a downfall but don't let it affect your visit! Furthermore on the grass opposite the cafe there is a little slide and some small toys more ideal for a toddler to play with which is nice. They sometimes have events on this field which is worth keeping your eye out for little craft stalls etc. To the left of the cafe is a lovely pond with ducks in that is quite a nice walk round and of course we took some oats and corn for the ducks! To the right of the cafe is a great park for the kids. There Is lots to do for young and older kids. They have a nest swing which is great for disabled kids. Adjacent to the park there is an outdoor gym which is also cool. Overall this is a great place to visit if your looking for a nice walk a round a little cheap ice cream and some play time for kids this is the place to be I could easily spend an afternoon here by taking...

Great little park, next door to the Dewsbury crematorium. It is also about a 5 min walk from the local cemetery. The park itself is a great little spot to hang out with the kids in. Has a great little play area with swings /merry go round and a slide! Also they have a basketball court which is caged (perfect for those of us who are not great at keeping the ball in) pro tip can also play football in here! They also have lights in the evening for those days when it gets dark early ! There are also 4 hard court tennis courts here !( Also caged 😉 ) though only two of these have a proper net ! The other two have a metal nets (these are terrible !) Which are so bad !!! A ball literally touches it and it will go flying up ! There's also a great little museum with a lovely cafe inside (perfect for ice cream and cream teas on a Sunday afternoon). These are next to a pond and a lovely well tended garden! The garden is well worth a visit , I think that's my favourite spot in...

A local favourite place to walk. The grounds are well maintained however, the flower garden and pond are just left as it is which is disappointing as they were lovely spots to go around too. The pond rockery is full of rats. Every visit you will see rats so if your hobby is to look for rats then it's a great place to find them. The pond is full of rubbish and algae which is in desperate need of attention. The flower garden is overgrown with plants growing into the paths. Otherwise, pram friendly park and a place you can join parkrun! Children's playground with lots of swings and climbing frames. A mini outdoor gym area also available. There is an adventure playground but I have not used this. Car park is small and is overcrowded during school run so I would advise not to go there during...

Attended the Yorkshire Thoroughbred Car Club show at the park. The weather held out and there was an abundance of classic cars on show. Though the event doesn’t have its own listing, the park was more than suitable for hosting! No fees for entry and it offered a lot of classic car enthusiasts the opportunity to wow the public with their rebuilt, tuned, restored vehicles. There wasn’t much variation outside of the European domestic market of vehicles - though there was a lot of Ford Cortinas!

On a whole it is a nice place to for an afternoon out. The playground needs a lot of work and repairs. A lot of it is quite dangerous. There's a large pond with ducks. The park has a lot of open spaces. It also have tennis courts and foot ball courts. There is a cafe and a museum but they are rarely open. There is an adventure play ground behind the museum which hosts children activity clubs for children age 8 to 12 and 13 plus on Thursday and Friday evening's.
