Free parking at the Crag which is always a bonus. The first thing you see when you drive in is the immense wall! Such an awesome sight. There are 2 marked walks that you can do, a long and short. The short one takes you to the top of the wall to show you an awesome panaromic view of the area. All the way from the bay to morecambe and inland with he rolling hills. The long walk takes you into the woodland. Within the woddlamds there are many trails so quite easy to go off track and then hard to retrace which I discovered. The paths are marked but very tempting to go off track. Some where in there are some prehistoric caves, but sadly I couldn't find them on this initial visit. I don't think they are signposted. Lovely lovely place. There are some cows that roam about so just...

It's a tricky climb in places, but it's really worth the effort for the amazing views over Morecombe Bay at the top. The trig point was a little illusive to find in the undergrowth, but we got there. A great walk with the dog. The grazing cattle on the way were very calm around the dog, although we did put him on a lead to go by them. Large amounts of free parking in the old quarry where there are some good information boards about the short and long routes available. All the routes have clear markers at every junction. There are some squeeze styles and short sections of steep rock to negotiate, but nothing too difficult. Altogether, it's a great walk with wo...

I love this place, free parking and free to enjoy. TIP: have the AllTrails app the first time to help you orientate yourself. Although it's not giant (but bigger than you think!) you can end up walking in circles (talking from experience!) There's different routes for a decent leg stretch and easier tracks. Good for kids to explore but not prams or accessibily friendly because it's all natural trails (no wooden flat walkways etc) views are amazing! Can see for miles ! Even when it's "busy" you don't often bump into people or feel crowded. There are sometimes cows grazing so dogs can go but need to be...

Visited on a misty overcast day and it was still an awesome walk! Some steep parts which made it more fun and lots of little paths around the main rockface to explore, so you can lengthen your walk if you want to. (I actually got a little lost coming back down due to a pack of cows 😅 but that's all the fun of a walk right!?) I parked in the smaller car park as you turn into Crag Lane. There's another bigger one up the road, both are free. Wildlife is lovely up there, overlooking the town and the coast! I plan on visiting again on a clear day to get a good view. Definitely recommend 😍
