They are situated on top of the famous Seven Sisters cliffs, which offer stunning views of the English Channel and the surrounding countryside. The cottages were originally built in the early 19th century to house coastguards who were responsible for preventing smuggling along the coast.
The Seven Sisters cliffs and the surrounding area have been featured in several movies, including the 2019 film "Summerland." The area is popular with filmmakers because of its dramatic scenery and natural beauty.

They offer stunning views of the cliffs and the sea, and are a great place to stay if you're looking for a peaceful and scenic getaway.

Read moreI parked at South Hill Barn Car park (free and plenty of space) then walked to the Coastguard Cottage. It was freezing, and the wind chill took the temperature down even further. I arrived before sunrise to take some Photographs, and boy, what a beautiful quiet place, made even more so by the sun rising and bathing the seven sisters in soft light. Make sure you wrap up, you can't get over to the Seven Sisters at high tide apparently, but I stayed put, I only saw a few dog walkers and a runner. There is a cafe at the car park, but nothing was open until 1000 according to Google. Well recommended, beautiful area, there are many walks close by, it was nice to see where I had walked on the South Downs Way in the summer from a...

Not quite sure if it is a residential or an air b&b but it is quite a scene when you see it with yourself. Reachable from seaford side with an approx 20 minutes hike. Only from this spot you count the seven cliffs by eye. From the other side , it was quite hazy and it is just not as beautiful as from yhis spot. Crossing the cuckmere river is possible as it is low tide during late...
