Gentleshaw Common — Attraction in Lichfield

If you use Google maps to get here then you will arrive at the Chorley Rd entrance, where there are a couple of lay-bys for parking.

It's quite a steep walk up the hill and despite the pylons and the houses and the pylons the place has a real ancient feel to it, almost eerie. It's very quiet with almost no sound of any wildlife, you almost want to whisper.

At the top of the hill things get a lot more greener and there are marked paths to explore.

A lovely place for an early morning walk. I have a heart condition so I walk here and choose the walk so it's not to strenuous on my heart. Good clean fresh air sets me up for the day.
