A very beautiful park surrounded by tall buildings. It has everything: outdoor gym, children playground, picnic tables, football pitch surrounded by fence. I found the park very clean and very green with many people having a good time. They even planted trees to remembre those that worked front line during Covid.

Former Victoria Park Cemetery. A wonderful little jewel in East London filled with layers of history, amazing people and fascinating wildlife. Please check Friends of Meath Gardens website and FB page for volunteering opportunities.

Absolutely beautiful place for everyone to enjoy . Well kept green and play area . Well away from the road . Only problem is there are no public toilets .

Meath Gardens (formerly the privately-owned Victoria Park Cemetery) was founded in 1842. It closed to burials in 1876 having fallen into disuse and only a few gravestones remain today. The gardens were opened in 1894 by the Duke of York and renamed Meath Gardens after the Metropolitan Public Gardens Association's Chairman, the Earl of Meath. There is children's play equipment, basketball and football facilities and a Trim Track in the park . Restoration to the entrance arch was carried out in 2018. The park currently holds a...

I've seen this park go from nothing to something! Never really get troublesome kids here. Pull up bars, football pitch and basket ball courts and nice climbing frames for kids. They have taken off a few I don't know why???

Only downside is that they used to let the football league play here on saturdays and grass is ruined. The grass in the open space is too hard. This should be laid again especially when it is the open space where there...
