So this place has so much to offer adults and children.
If you like to explore, this is a great hidden gem within the NW London vicinity. Surrounded by beautiful homes and streets, Paddington (Rec) is a place where you can exercise, relax and even take your children to have their own fun and adventure.
For the sports enthusiast, the vibrant blue 400m running track is a great place to start. It is surrounded by many exercise frames for calisthenics and is very spacious for those who require more open space.
There is a also a brand new gym within the grounds. Unfortunately I did not use the facilities but from looking in the windows, it looks like a extremely clean and modern gym with new equipment. I also believe there is an adjoining fitness studio.
For the football lover. There are artificial pitches which looked great and by the amount of people playing on them, it seems they are very popular. There is also outdoor bowling but I did not get to see the green as it is smartly secured.
To top it off. There is a cricket pitch located next to the visually amazing looking changing rooms. I did not play but managed to watch a game from the boundary whilst drinking a lovely well priced coffee from the on-site Park cafe.
For the children. There is a secret nature garden which is fantastically home to much Flora and many local Fauna. The large play area with the steamliner and play houses has Paddington Rec full of features for for children of all ages. For infants, there's a train and tunnel, slide, swings, scramble net, climbing wall, platforms and springers.
I highly recommend a visit and enjoy a...
Read moreHi guys this is one of my favorite parks, there is parking for cars, there is a recreational area for dogs, fantastic I must say, if you think you can come here with your dog and let him have fun through a canine path very nice and I must say well done and also well maintained. I always enter from the main entrance in Carlton vale, where you enter and find yourself in front of a roundabout, yes you go to the left you go towards the car park and the dog area that I have just listed. If we continue on foot instead we can notice on the left a path inside the vegetation which is also well cared for, we continue forward and on the right we can see how the photos I have put of the very distinct playgrounds for children, the section for older children and the section for younger children, a little further on there is a very nice play area with miniature palaces, I noticed that in this park there are various playgrounds that can be easily booked , even if I see many school groups training so I don't know how free it can be but don't give up if you are interested in phone calls. I could see a professional playing sports field with the racing ring going around the field. In addition, like all parks, I noticed other large areas where you can indulge yourself and possibly let go of the dogs and why not let go of the children who run and have fun. I leave included some photos that could be useful for you, such as the parking hours and the bulletin board with...
Read moreReview of the gym at the rec. Staff generally pleasant well I can only say only Faith, Jerusalem and another lady apologies I do not know the name but can describe as tall. Negatives the general manager who on my very 1st week back in July was little aggressive in his manner in expressing the opening and closing times. Please kindly give consideration that members are capable of reading. Another lady I think her name is Izabella who opens the gym most days was quite abrupt and unfriendly in the mornings such as comments like 'I haven't had my breakfast yet and you want to come in at 8am.' Well it's meant to be open than?! Lastly the maintenance of the equipment is really bad and gives me concern that they are not adhering to HSE legislation adhering to basic safety. I pointed out obvious trip hazard where this member of staff tells me this has always been like this?! I have now cancelled as I am moving away but it's a shame as this gym does have potential. Sort out the culture from top down and then the lazy attitude towards safety and bad customer service will improve. I sent a complaint to their corporate office who couldn't care less so somes up their organisation. I think Westminster City Council will be my next move with the...
