Along with Stave Hill Ecology Park Russia Dock Woodland divides the Rotherhithe peninsula. I'm not sure where the boundary between the two sits but it doesn't really matter. The great thing is that you can stroll amongst nature all the way from Greenland Dock to Rotherhithe Pier. This is the site of the old Surrey Commercial Docks & you can still see the granite blocks lining the side of the canal plus some iron mooring blocks. There are several ponds , the most notable being Globe Pond. Apart from woodland & scrub there is a large open grass area with seating. Really valuable resource for all those living nearby. I walked through on a sunny weekday morning & enjoyed the bird song & peaceful surroundings before crossing the river from Rotherhithe Pier & landing at Canary Wharf.

The same write up as I gave Stave Hill because to be honest they are conjoined and I'm never sure which ends where and the other begins. To summarise: I like this/them a lot. These conjoined twins possess a distinct personality, this is parkland not as passive, lie back sun worshipper flat grass, here it's restlessly active, feels often more woodland workshop, vibes of "never satisfied to sit on our laurels" (aren't any anyway), you constantly stumble across the most thoughtfully nature-friendly and quite baffling but no doubt ingenious little improvement schemes and projects going on around the place. Is it unfair to say it's The Good Life sitcom of London parks?

What a hidden gem. If you want a nice, quiet walk in nature this is your choice. The best thing is that after a few minutes of walking you find a nice hill w a beautiful view. Definitely worthy.

Super cool place where you can sit for a picnic or if you want a relax park to exercise.

This is a hidden gem in London. It is surrounded by nature and a ecological park. It’s lovely and calm. A lot of kinder children going their with their teachers and many parents with babies visit this park.

It is so lovely so walk around and relax and disconnect from the busy london but still inside London.

Highly recommended if you want to have a lovely day by yourself or with friends. You can go even with your computer and work because they have some tables where you can sit.

I love this place ! This is the favourite spot of my...
