Southmere park is proudly home to where the TV series "Misfits" emerged. The park has undergone redevelopment and you can expect to see a children's play area, a big lake full of different species of birds , regular plane activity (due to London City Airport) and a nature reserve which I believe has had £millions spent, to improve the environment for the wildlife as part of the Thames Water nature reserve. The reserve has plaques placed in various locations to give information about the wildlife and species that reside there. Expect to see horses in safe enclosed areas, I have fed and stroked them, they are friendly. Unfortunately, there are no toilets here, but there is a Sainsburys about 10-15...
