Ashton Court impressed me with its vastness and variety. Here's a breakdown of what you can expect:

Stunning Grounds: The 850-acre estate offers a delightful mix of woodlands, grasslands, and even a deer park! It's perfect for a leisurely stroll, a bike ride, or a picnic with a view. The park itself is open 24/7, so you can enjoy the fresh air anytime.

Historic Mansion: Ashton Court Mansion, open Wednesdays to Sundays from 11am to 4pm, is a treasure trove of history. You can explore the grand rooms (check the Artspace Lifespace website for info on tours or events).

Family Fun: The estate boasts play areas, making it a great spot for a family outing. There's also a golf course if you're feeling more active.

Keep in Mind: The mansion has limited opening hours, so plan accordingly. While some areas are open 24/7, some specific features like the gardens might have restricted hours.

Overall, Ashton Court is a fantastic place to escape the city bustle and reconnect with nature. With its historical significance, family-friendly activities, and beautiful grounds, it caters to a wide range of visitors. I recommend checking the Bristol City Council website for the latest opening hours and information on any...

We had family visiting Bristol for the weekend, we wanted somewhere on the Sunday to get together for a brunch picnic and play a few games. Ashton Court fit the bill for location, outdoor space, parking, historical interest, views and toilets. Most had issues with paying to park on arrival via the relevant app, so much so that we paid for everyones parking. We then went to use the bathrooms and this is the main reason for the 2 star review. The disabled toilet had poo EVERYWHERE so went to use the womens toilets which had no toilet paper in any of the cubicles nor was there any hand soap in the dispensers either so they were a germ fest. There was a rather unnoticeable sanitiser station outside but luckily we had our own so don't know if there was any in it. We went to mention it to the cafe which was rammed and after 5 minutes gave up attempting to get anyones attention. The toilet situation only worsened during the 4 hours we were there (with no fault of our own armed with pocket tissues and hand sanitiser!). We enjoyed the views, the land, the weather, the walks, the flowers and the time spent together as a family, just shame it had all started on a...

Ashton Court Estate. Wow. An accidental discovering of this place whilst talking to a neighbouring caravaner on site. What a fantastic place to spend a few hours. Just on the outskirts of Bristol. £1.80 I think it was to park all day. There’s a lovely cafe in the main building with toilet facilities. Benches and tables outside. Some lovely gardens to walk round. There’s a couple of heards of various deer on site. Fantastic views of the local area. There’s lovely paved roads to walk. No vehicular access so apart from cyclists you are relatively safe. There’s Forrest walks. Literally something for everyone. And 15 to 20 minutes walk you can visit the Clifton suspension bridge. Also well worth the visit. If I’m the area again will definitely visit. Will make sure it’s not the hottest day of the year next time. Wow. It was hot hot hot. Take a picnic. A football. A frisbee. Literally you can spend the day there enjoying open space and fresh air. Beautiful. Was nice to see people picnicking and enjoying the great outdoors. And the place is vast. So you can always find a quiet area to relax if that’s what you...

Went to see the Jurassic Experience, it was about £50 and was disappointing, with bits snapped off many of the dinos and not all of them moving. Some signs describing the dinos were missing and the information provided was very dry, with no interaction for kids. If you wanted to ride a Dino then that was another £2 (cash only), and if you wanted a generic helium balloon it was £7… no signs to say the prices so kids already had you queuing up before you knew how expensive it was. Cafe queue was ridiculous, as were the food vans and again, over priced. We went elsewhere for food so couldn’t comment on the quality. Parking was extremely limited for the number of people being sold tickets for the Jurassic Experience, without even considering the numerous weekend walkers and dog owners. It needed a spare field to be opened for parking to add capacity. No additional loos either. Overall, I wouldn’t rush to buy tickets for another Ashton Court experience, which is a shame because we enjoy visiting the venue for walks and coffees normally.
