Completed all 5 areas on the treetop challenge at go ape on Sunday 10/9. It was frightening, exhilarating, fun, and tiring having never been to go ape before. Having been surprised by the wonderful weather which had been forecast to rain a couple weeks before, it was hot and sunny, but the trees proved a wonderful shade. The booming experience was great having also received an NHS discount, on arrival the assistant was very helpful in going through the gear I had pre-purchased, some of which I no longer needed and the premium gloves just wouldn't fit me so purchased an alternative, and also got the phone pouch which was great as I definitely wouldn't have been comfortable taking photos and videos without it. The training and demonstrations were on point and the team were always around to keep an eye and ensure everyone was safe even if you didn't see them (most of the time you concentrate on the task at hand). There was a nice variety of obstacle courses and one of the best parts was having free water available at the beginning of each area for rehydration. Having to carry a water bottle on the course would have been a hassle as you need both hands and don't have anywhere to hold the bottle for you. Our favourite activity was the zip line by far, with the end of each area having one of varying lengths. A couple really longs ones gave great views. For those who have never done go site before including myself I would say the hardest thing was being confident the harness would hold your weight and keep you safe once attached. Especially for the Tarzan and zip lines. Once you get over that fear it's all good. Overall a great tiring day but fully with it. My wife may be posing in photos at the end, but throughout various obstacles she was screaming why she ever agreed to do go ape 😂😂. So very proud of her for doing this. Definitely worth going to even if you never intend to do it again, and good to drive away any daily worries you have to enjoy a...

We booked to go on the go ape tree top advernture course on Wednesday 8th August, to say a group of 4 adults were very nervous, anxious and afraid of heights. Upon arrival you can see the adventure in the trees and you feel a bit unsure as to why you’ve booked such an experience. We got to the booking in desk and checked in and was asked to go to toilet and then come back at 12.20 for our 12.30 session start. Once we were back we had to read the disclaimer to see whether we wanted to continue, obviously we did. We were given an instructor to put our harnesses on and go through safety and course training. Our instructor was Lottie and how amazing she was with us, as we were getting into our harnesses I felt a little nervous and was asking questions and she made me feel as though I could do it and trusted what she said, explained the rules and safety’s throughly. Then when we had a practice in the training area we all felt at ease, so thank you Lottie for making us feel a little more at ease! Then we were up up and away, and what an experience, so many different emotions run through your mind times of fear, laughter and that you can’t go any further but with the help from your friends/partners you were encouraged to carry on. Half way round my harness felt a little bit lose after we had mastered the zip line she came and made sure that our harnesses were okay and asked how we were feeling. A brilliant amazing time with friends. I would 100% be recommending my friends to have a go at the challenge. A day that me and my friends and partner will never forget. Was amazing! Thank you Lottie for you...

Was super excited about experiencing GoApe for the first time at Leeds Castle.

We arrived in good time as advised by the website and were ready and waiting for our 14.30 slot. In we went for the briefing, now I'm not sure how long this should take but due to some late comers it took us an hour to get started!? Both my group and another expressed frustrations with this. As we were going through stage 1 the young lady talking us through went and chose the trio who turned up late to go ahead of half the group. I found this insulting if I'm honest as we were actually the first in our group to arrive for our time slot but last to start. Now I don't expect to have gone first but in what universe do people who arrive late go ahead of half the group!? I can understand there may have been traffic or a genuine cause for them arriving late but I don't think it fair the whole group had to wait and extra 20mins to enter stage 1 whilst the late comers put their harnesses on and caught up, then get to jump the que. I did voice my frustrations when they were selected to start before people who arrived on time.

Once we go started we had fun. It was challenge and we were all very proud of ourselves for making it through the entire course. The view on the last zip line was incredible and I thought that the water supplied was a fantastic touch.

Only suggestion would be for someone to check water and cups near the end of the day, I imagine groups behind us would not have had any water or a cup...
