Unfortunately this place is a sad reminder of its former grandeur! The tour we took this afternoon reminded us that Manchester city council has just forgotten yet another part of the city. Bring back the city works! At last these people were paid proportional for the work they actually did! Stop using lazy private contractors at 10 times the cost for poor quality don't give a dam work! But it typifies the indifferent attitude of the city council to areas outside the city centre. A general air of neglect pervades with litter abounding and an old lodge house gradually deteriorating into ruin. The statue of 19th century politicians. Ben Brierley has gone missing.
