In a city where 'so-called' council representatives are doing their level best to CLOSE our socialising venues (like ours who, despite STILL claiming to represent us, has abandoned Harpurhey to live in the more affluent St Peter's Street in Manchester city centre) it's refreshing to have a REAL pub, like the Shiredale, to be able to be ourselves and... well... SOCIALISE in OUR way, with OUR friends and neighbours ... not forced into expensive city centre dives! The Shiredale has always been, is now, and ever SHALL be my local of choice. Love...
