A real secret gem! The beach is only accessible at mid to low tide, so plan your journey carefully. This secluded beach has soft sand, rock pools and beautifully clear waters.

Car parking is available along the wide verges at the top of the track. Follow the sign posted track down alongside a field for around 0.5km. Eventually you will find a fork in the path, take the right hand branch and head down the hill. The access to the beach is marked by a large black rock which runs down into the sea. When the tide is low enough you can walk or wade around to Musselwick Sands, which is left from...

A fabulous beach with perfect soft sand, an azure sea, some perfect waves and rocky bits to explore. It's a bit of a walk from parking on the road and this puts people off, so it's not busy. I went on a very hot day in August and there were maybe about 50 people there. An enjoyable walk down, with the last bit on steps carved into the black rock at one end. As other people have pointed out, check the tide tables; it'll be inaccessible at low tide and there's the risk of getting stranded as the...

Wow.

First ones down here, waited on the tide heading back so we could paddle round the rocks and onto the best beach. Not another person in sight, in fact we had from around an hour to ourselves here.

Crystal clear water, lovely sandy beach. What more can you ask for?

Caution should be given when the tide is returning as the only safe exit is where you enter and it is one of the first areas to be...

Fabulous hidden gem, make sure you get the tide times right as its only accessible when the tide is low and you need to be pretty able bodied as its quite steep pathway down to the actual beach over rocks. They don't have any amenities so you'll need drinks etc with you.
