This is a beautifully restored post windmill located next to a small car park at the top of Oldlands Lane. You can also walk here up the hill from Ditchling village. On open days you can climb up into the mill and hear about how it works On windy days you may see it working and you can buy their flour from the following shops; Adastra Deli, Hassocks Budgens, Hassocks South Downs Heritage Centre, Hassocks Museum of Art+Craft, Ditchling The Post Office, Ditchling Oaks Farm Shop, Ditchling Hampers, Hurstpierpoint Park Farm Shop, Falmer Rushfields Farm Shop, Poynings Townings Farm Shop, Chailey Cloughs Deli, Lindfield Middle Farm Shop, Firle Woods & Sons, Burgess Hill La Boulangerie Du Marche, Burgess Hill Market and other locations (see Facebook Page)

Grade II listed windmill is owned by Oldland Mill Trust. Usually open to the public between April and October on the first Sunday of the month and every Thursday from 10:00. Located in the private residential area, so no parking is allowed at any time. Although, you can park on the road, which will be about 5 minutes walk from the windmill. There are plenty of walking/cycling routes there too if you are up for it after visiting windmill.

Went on one of there open days on a sunny day. It was very interesting with lots to see. I especially liked the Brighton folk group performance and my grandson loved the Punch and Judy show. The food stall was really good - purple carrot from hassocks. Also beer and soft drinks available

On the open day went up to have a look got to gate and person on gate said no charge to have a look, the moment I took a step in garden area he said/stood in front of me and said we ask for a donation and wouldn't let me go further. Seeing as I had just put a donation in post round the side where it was asking I was a bit disappointed. Didn't get any further and found him to be very rude. I won't be going to...
