Magnificent, west-facing, white sand beach. A small carpark that is run on cash-only donations (optional). The approaching road is very rocky for cars – take care with tyres. There is a small truck providing ice creams in the car park, but it wasn’t option when we were there. There are public toilets but these are some 15 mins walk down from the car park – there is space to put your car nearer the toilets. Whilst an amazing beach, if you are wishing to catch the sunset, it’s entirely blocked by the westward cliff. If you have a car, recommend driving a little further along the B8073 and parking along there for just a moment…the view in a clear sunset is absolutely stunning.

This is one of my favourite beaches in Scotland and definitely a must if you are in the northern part of Mull. The water is crystal clear and the sand white. On a sunny day, you would be forgiven to think you are in the Caribbeans. There is also a free camping site on the South side of the bay. However, for my southern friends (just like me), please remember you are still in Scotland, so do not expect the water to be warm! If you want to swim for longer than 2 minutes, bring a wet-suit!

Absolutely beautiful spot. The beach is lovely. We drove straight from the ferry terminal and it was OK at first but then turned into about 15 miles of single track. We have a small camper. It would be hard going in a large motorhome. There is parking next to the beach, but tends to get busy. We grounded slightly when leaving the car park so you need to be careful. There’s a great ice cream place there also.

Like many parts of Mull, this is a sublime wee sandy bay. If you have a dog, be sure to have them on a lead from the get go because sheep are about on both sides of the fence(!?) and the fence is easily bypassed by cunning canines :-) Once you're all beached out, there is a track that winds its way along the northerly coast of the bay and takes you to a disused pier. From here you can sit back, relax and enjoy the views back to the beach, all the while mindful that an otter may appear nearby, or an eagle could be gliding above. On returning to the car park, treat yourself to an ice cream: £3 for a double scoop of vanilla & chocolate, not cheap but...
