This was once a very significant royal palace dating back to medieval times. It is reckoned that 8 different Kings visited the Palace with parliament even been held there. There isn't a great deal left to see but what there is is of great historical importance so credit should be given to all those who work hard on preserving what remains.

Can't actually get to it at the moment since there are barriers and signs warning of deep excavations. So, the best you can see is just the tops of walls from the other side of the road. So being there is good, but the actual stuff to see is very limited due to understandable health and safety concerns. Hopefully, it will be more accessible...
