I go here quickly and there is always something new to see. I have a season ticket for the park but the lake itself is beautiful and recently as they have changed ownership for the running of the place they have added pedalo and boats to the boating lake. This gives you an opportunity to get out to see some of the wildlife close-up. Plus it's a nice way to cool down on a hot day. The lake itself does have some extremely large fish in it but you have to acclimatize your eyes to the water or plenty of freshwater Birds and it's a lovely easy walk around the park and lake a total of about 2 miles with one or two slates although generally wheelchair-accessible you can hire a mobility scooter from reception.
