Amazing museum on the first floor of the coach house at Thoresby Hall. Information boards guide you through the formation, conflicts and reorganisations of the regiments, including putting them into an historical context. My teenage son and I spent a couple of hours engrossed in the exhibits. Many larger museums could learn a thing or two about presenting information from here. We'd have loved to have learnt more about how the Conqueror tank fits into the regiments' stories, but I'm sure this will come in time.

There are excellent information boards for the numerous exhibits of swords, pistols, uniforms, medals and many other fascinating items including the bugle used during the charge of the Light Brigade in 1854.
