Great park with a lot of choice and now a new addition to the park, a splash pool with lots of sprinklers and a massive cup of water splashing over the kids, my 5 year old had fun here and we all went under the big cup at one point. The park area has new equipment now including another zip line which is a good add on, the park has been improved which is much needed. Little bit sad they got rid of the Astro area for football but perhaps they will move it to another area in future. The toilets when we went there on the first week the splash pad was opened, were disgusting to say the least and no toilet paper. There is a small cafe in a mobile hut/trailer which serves various things but in my opinion, it’s over priced. I do wish there was an indoor cafe in the park and the toilet facilities were better maintained. The mini golf is fun and when we played, it was going well BUT unfortunately people are selfish and ruin people’s games going onto the course when they’re not even playing golf, I hope in future they make the fence higher so only people who have paid can enter as I do not want kids picking up my balls when we have paid to play and unfortunately people have no respect for others when it comes to this. There’s also people they like to play football on the golf course? Given there’s massive fields near by, I do wonder why… Over all it’s a nice park for kids, dogs and to have a nice walk. The park itself is nice, unfortunately it’s just the few people who can be selfish and not thoughtful of others. The new splash pad is a good additional and I think there’s room to put portable toilets beside the swimming pool so people can change easier and for more privacy. Be good if they put a sandpit in also, just an idea.

Since Tredegar Park has newly built a splash park we thought we’d pay it a visit with our three kids. Apparently, LOADS of other people thought the same as by the time we were leaving it was RAMMED. Like “full on, we can’t even get in the car park” rammed. And we were there from around 9am to 12pm, so we had a good three hours. We spent the first 2 hours in the park and the last hour in the splash park. I’ll be honest, the splash park is actually pretty good. I’m not sure what happened to the “relaxed session for children with additional needs” from 10-11, which is what was posted on Facebook. Everyone just piled in regardless. It was like a free for all and no one actually cared that it was supposed to be a quiet session in place, nor was it manned or implemented by anyone official. But you can’t even get people to put their rubbish in the bin, so good luck with that one 🙌🏻 Seriously though, just put your rubbish in the bin. I know we all wanna go to the park and mildly neglect the kids - if I could be so lucky - and they inevitably throw their empty fruit shoot, but don’t be a 🔔🔚 and just put the rubbish in the bin. Simply. Parking is cheap, we paid £3 for 5 hours. There’s changing rooms and showers for the splash park which seemed fine 🙌🏻 They have reopened the mini golf but it wasn’t something to choose to do at the end. Honestly, my only criticism is the disregard for the quiet hour - I would’ve been annoyed if we came down for that - and the rubbish. That’s it.

It's a shame you have to pay for parking but i guess it's to be expected these days...on the plus side it's only £1 for 2 hours. The park has plenty to offer with a large playground for toddlers and children. It also has a mini putting golf course, Tennis Courts and a Ramp park for Skateboards or Scooters. As you can see in the pictures, it has a huge open area for walks and there is a long path at the side of the river if you fancy doing a loop. It is a Dog Friendly park as long as your dog is kept on a lead at all times. I didn't use them but I did notice they had Restrooms available next to the playground. I did provide a picture of the current parking charges (Aug. 23) for you to see.

Attended Lets Rock Wales Festival. The entertainment was Good. But organization for Disabled people wasn't. They ran out of I.D. Bracelets for disabled access, which you had to walk miles to the 1st Aid tent to apply for instead of giving them out on entry. Then interrogated by a security person whilst on disabled platform even after showing document proof of disability. I was then shouted at by 3 of the security people when asking where the people I was assisting could exit at the end of the event. One of them even put his face aggressively right up to mine while shouting at me. I'm 64 years old & all I had said was "excuse me can you tell me where the exit is for disabled people". There was no excuse for his aggresive behaviour!! One also kept shouting at a Blind lady who had a white stick to stand on the grass not the path!! We along with others who were disabled were then made to stand & wait for a very long time while one the security personal decided when he would let us exit although he eventually apologised for the wait he continuously made derogatory & condescending remarks during the time we were waiting. It is the 1st time I have witnessed this kind of behaviour towards people with disabilities & I...
