Excellent attraction, totally free and something for everyone. We took our toddler who just couldn't get enough of the playpark. We followed the fairy trail and were really impressed. The musical section was a really nice touch too and although the walk was a little long and steep for a two year old she had just as much fun on daddys shoulders and looking at the different types of trees and leaves. The bathroom facilities were excellent and there were more than enough picnic tables and shelters from the rain in the playpark area. I can't recommend it enough.

Beautiful trail but very steep in parts. The trail itself is stunning as are the multiple stops along the way but nowhere on the website or entrance signs does it mention how steep it is in parts. We assumed it would be relatively flat and were left disappointed as my 2 year old struggled with this aspect and my pregnant wife had to sit in the car..from the entrance to part 1 and from part 4 to the bottom are very steep as well as other parts. Please make people aware of this at the start.

Wanted to do a fairy trail on our last day in the Irish country side and Google brought up Fionn's. This place was even better than expected! Besides a fun playground on the grounds, the actual Giant Adventure Trail includes a fairy village, "photo ops" with Fionn (via the app you can download before starting), a music area, and more. The natural scenery is also so serene that I'd recommend walking even if you don't have a kiddo in tow. And all completely free!

Great walk around the nature trails. Excerpt from the website: Slieve Gullion Forest Park offers the unmissable opportunity to experience tranquil woodland trails, stunning views across the Ring of Gullion, Mourne Mountains, Cooley Peninsula and Armagh Drumlins and top class facilities for walkers and families. Play in the Adventure Playpark; explore the Giant’s Lair in the wonderful Hawthorn Hill Forest Nature Reserve and woodland trails, or take a turn in the ornamental walled garden, where you will find picnic benches, an outdoor performance stage, an al fresco coffee bar (open in the summer) and a wildlife pond with covered seating areas.

Head off on Slieve Gullion Scenic Drive, through 10km of woodland and mountain heath which turns a glorious purple in the summer, taking in amazing sights along the way. A way-marked trail leads from the scenic drive to the ancient passage tomb on the south summit of Slieve Gullion, continuing on to Cailleach Beara’s Lough and Bronze Age tomb and down the north side of the mountain. There is a full events programme throughout...

If you believe in fairies and dragons and the like, this is the place for you! But even if your not you will be swept away by beautiful views. And you will get a laugh at some of the things parents say tryin to explain why there's nothing behind the wooden painted front of a fairy house! (it's because only the fairies who are magic can view what's really there) I know! and I was totally sober! Excellent day out for most, involves steep walks. But if you get the weather you can mosey...
