An outstanding experience for all the family My first visit to Standalone Farm. Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Admittedly, it was a cool damp Easter weekend day, but parking was easy and plentiful with a beautiful clear stream and daffodils alongside the road welcoming you in. I was hoping to see a Kingfisher, but not today. Paying was straightforward and quick even though there was a small queue and the staff were relaxed, friendly and accommodating, just outstanding. You can tell they all enjoy being there with the anmials and helping the customers have a great experience. The entrance into the yard reveals a map of the farm, facilities and what animals are where. The toilets are close by and the mens are clean and very well kept. The variety of facilities is just amazing. Children's play areas are abundant for various ages. There are safe open ground picnic areas for kids with climbing and play facilities, a model railway which runs for just 20p. The animals are plentiful and approachable, though take care with some of the ones that like to nibble your fingers. There are managed animal activities where you can get up close to the animals and there are special events throughout the year. Check the website or the facebook group out for more information. The lambs, piglets and calves are cuteness overload in the spring. The farm has have big animals, smaller animals and also have a beehive and open areas that appear to be left for nature. The animals are very well looked after and have lots of room on the farm. It is just a wonderful all round experience. At £7 entry for adults it is well worth it. Just a small beware; the paths and the grass and soft ground can be a bit wet and muddy, well it is a fully working farm, so if you are visiting at the end of the winter or after a long period of sustained rain be sure to bring your wellies for all the family and a spare pair when you get back in the car later. A small piece of advice or request for the farm owners, please make the opening hours a little clearer and prominent on the website especially during holiday times (Christmas, Easter, bank holidays) and weekends which is when people are most likely to visit. I'm going back again, no brainer, and will probably get a season pass. One of the most organised best kept facilities and activity places locally I have ever been too. The only one that is close/similar in interest and similar in size relatively locally is the Shepreth Wildlife Park between Royston and Cambridge just off the A10.

Little visit with the Grandkids to spread out the Easter Hol’s. Reasonable price in comparison to some farms. £30 for a family ticket and that included 3x bags of animal feed. Small parking area in relation to visitors. So would avoid disappointment or having to look elsewhere to park by getting here first thing. However, we managed to park first left after the entrance and thankfully no yellow lines or restrictions. A lovely little place for toddlers. Would personally say over 6 or 7 not so but having said that the park area’s great and so if you have older children they would love it. Plenty of picnic benches so if your bringing your own lunch all is good. Plus helps in saving your pennies. The cafe looked nice but can’t fully comment as I said we brought our own food. All in all great day 😀

Great place to visit with kids and not just, however, it can be great fun for the little ones especially, of course. The whole territory of the farm being kept tidy and organised, therefore it can be a good place to visit any time throughout the year. There's a nice, big playground for kids (under construction/refurbishment as of August 2022). There are different activities at certain times that kids can be involved in: cow milking, animal feeding and different talks. Last but not least, there are different seasonal activities and programs that can be an extra reason for visiting, or even returning to this lovely place. Coffee shop, parking lots, a souvenir/gift shop and toilets are also available on the site, so it can be comfortably visited and even a full day spent here.

Standalone Farm in Letchworth is a charming and delightful place that is perfect for families and children. From the moment you arrive, you are transported into a world of wonder and excitement, with animals to pet, playgrounds to explore, and activities to participate in.

One of the most impressive aspects of Standalone Farm is the range of animals on display. From cows, pigs, and sheep to chickens, rabbits, and goats, there are a variety of creatures for children to meet and learn about. The farm also offers the opportunity for children to pet some of the animals, which is always a highlight for young visitors.

In addition to the animals, Standalone Farm has a variety of playgrounds and play areas that are perfect for burning off some energy. The indoor soft play area is a great option for younger children, while older kids will enjoy the outdoor playground and sandpit.

Throughout the year, Standalone Farm hosts a range of events and activities, including seasonal events like pumpkin picking and Christmas activities. There are also regular activities such as tractor rides, pony rides, and animal feeding sessions that children can participate in.

The staff at Standalone Farm are friendly and knowledgeable, always willing to answer questions and share information about the animals and the farm. The facilities are well-maintained, and there are plenty of places to sit and relax throughout the day.

Overall, Standalone Farm is a fantastic day out for families with young children. With a range of animals to meet, playgrounds to explore, and activities to participate in, it offers something for everyone. Highly...

Booked 2 tickets for me and my friend, and had my 4 month old with me, saw online that kids under 2 go free so didnt think I needed to book an extra ticket if this was the case (my bad.. seeing as due to covid they need to know how many people and little people will be coming so that was a mistake on my behalf).. however, was waiting in queue and the lady who called us over (we had already seen she had been rude to a co-worker) ; we scan our tickets and she says 'yes good 2 adults for the farm', (very bubbly manner at first) then said, 'HOWEVER you have a baby and have not booked them a ticket so you are not allowed through'.. the way she said it was so blunt but almost gleeful, no apology nothing around the notion of 'really sorry if it wasn't clear online but you needed to have booked a space.. my 4 month old tiny strapped to my chest couldn't go through.. it was highly embarrassing and a very strange encounter as she almost looked happy at the thought we were being turned away, she said the farm is too full and we cannot go in. I get it , as it was my bad for not booking my 4 month old a ticket... but at the same time so rude and unprofessional. I asked for a refund as I said it wasnt clear online, even on their board behind the counter it says kids under 2 go free , she said 'no refunds but why dont you book for another day'...
