We recently had a laser tag party here for my twins’ birthday. Whilst the kids had a lot of fun, the hospitality and service left a lot to be desired. Various children were ‘named and shamed’ for daring to break out into a jog during the laser tag and were held responsible for losing their team points and potentially the game - a bit harsh for young children! Less than half way through the party a member of staff came over to me and said ‘can you come over and settle the outstanding balance?’ is a very blunt manner. Myself and the other parents were gobsmacked - the children hadn’t even eaten yet and I was accosted as if I was trying to leave without paying! There wasn’t enough food for the children and what was there was extremely basic! I don’t expect top-end restaurant nibbles but this is definitely the worst of the party food we’ve experienced. When it came to blowing out the candles, there were only 7 placed on the cake (rather than 8). As we were getting ready to leave a number of the children needed to use the toilet (as you’d expect) but all but the disabled toilet had been locked up. This meant that we were a few minutes after our allotted time, but children were still queuing for the toilet. I apologised to the same member of staff who summoned me to pay the balance and explained that we aren’t local so we had a 30 minute drive before we’d next be near a toilet to which she sarcastically replied ‘don’t worry, I’ve got all night’. I couldn’t believe how rude she was throughout the party (she appeared to be the senior member of staff on shift that evening)! Whilst the children did enjoy the laser tag, the party experience and dreadful hospitality means that I definitely won’t be booking a...
Read moreWent online while sat outside the place and saw there were 58 spaces available for our chosen time slot (which was about to begin in 2mins), so went straight in, only to be told by the girl on reception that we should have booked online. When I said we just saw there were 58 spaces still available she responded that it wasnt fair on the people who had already booked (? Thdir spaces were already deducted?!?) and she made us stand out of line and book online via our phone (it now said 44 spaces available. While doing this, many people were queuing up and being let through (they had booked) but after we had finished, we told her we were booked and she made us go to the end of the queue again, just to wait another 10mins just to finally be allowed in to find at least 10 empty tables and still 40 spaces available. While we were waiting in queue, she did the same to another young lady with tiny children. Okay, we get it, when not many slots left you gotta book! But the slot time had already started and there were 44 left available!!! And we did feel she could have been a LOT more polite about the whole thing! We just felt like she was being pedantic and awkward and customer service was poor. After this staff were staring at us and sniggering the whole time we were there and i certainly will never take my children there again. POOR! 0/10 (the 1st time we ever went to a fun farm was in Weston and we hadn't booked but the lady said, "No worries theres lots of slots available" and she just booked us straight in! THATS where we'll be...
Read moreApparently have some Interactive screen no one told me about this when I went there which I don't think is right if they are forcing people to pay for accompanying their child they should be also telling then what's available where things are. We wanted ti go into the toddler area which required a pass code, which we assumed meant we had ti pay more to obtain the pass code. Personally I'm not interested in a screen, children are destroyed by screens the idea of taking then out are to escape the screens howeber upon arrival they should be Informing guests of all things they can and cannot do. The accompanying adult should be included in the child's price and family members who are clearly to elderly to do all this should not be forced to pay to sit and watch.
People you have a choice when taking your kids on a day out if you have other family members coming who are not using the play area they either have to pay 1.75 each which adds up to quite a bit when we brought ny son fir he's 1st birthday and there was 5 other adults who just sat there the entire time waoting for time ti be up. That 1.75 adds up quite a bit.
Website also said ti feel free to bring a birthday cake however when we went to give my son he's birthday cake we was told we couldn't despite what the website said which then helped spoil the day even more. Also people costa is bigger cup sizes...
