Fantastic family day out! Staff are so friendly and helpful. Different talks and feeds throughout the day. We meet Sean at the Temple of Frogs talk. He was so lovely and knowledgeable, answering questions our children had. We again met Sean up at the BrickLive event, just as helpful and friendly. Seal Rock:- Seeing the Seal Feed was a brilliant, fun experience to watch and learn about them. Lovely big viewing area, wheelchair friendly as well! Shark Classroom:- Fantastic interactive room for the children to design their own fish. Colour / draw your own fish and scan it onto the large aquarium wall. ( The kids had so much fun I forgot to take a photo! ) The underwater tunnel... Obviously, it was fantastic! What an experience for the kids! Wheelchair friendly. Gift Shop:- Such a big selection. We got the 3 kid's a book as they had an offer, 3 for 2. Then they all got a shark teeth ball. Then they got some random things.. Dinosaur watch, digging set, painting, and magnet. They loved doing the crushed 1p at the wee machine. Toilets:- This unfortunately was a bit of a mess. One disabled toilet, wheelchair friendly, but not the biggest. Female & Male toilet either side but half the toilet cubicles were closed. We then noticed around the side baby changing and more female & male toilets. In the females, only the middle cubicle was available. The other and the baby changing cubicle were closed off. It was really uncomfortable for my kids. Only a few toilets could actually be used. Plus, due to the small space, you couldn't go in with them. Cafe:- So the children's pizza was awful, cold frozen pizza not even cooked properly. I did ask to add pepperoni to one of the children's pizzas but was told no... so, probably due to them being frozen? The adult (or large pizza option) was alright. We got the pizza deal we were told about at the till, which was £26.50 for a pizza, two portions of chips and two draft drinks. Perfect sharing option for three adults. We bought 3 kid meals (2 pizzas & 1 chicken strips). Juice was also included for the kids. Cafe totally was £52.30. It was a fantastic day out. We spent over £150 between tickets, cafe, and gift shop. For 3 adults & 3 children I think it was good value and we'll definitely go back next summer. The kids really enjoyed this experience 5/5 from them.

Little bit more maintenance needed. My visit to Deep Sea World was an unforgettable aquatic adventure filled with wonder and excitement. From the moment I stepped inside, I was immersed in a mesmerizing underwater world teeming with marine life. The highlight of the experience was undoubtedly the breathtaking underwater tunnel, where I had the opportunity to walk beneath the waves and observe majestic sharks, graceful rays, and a colorful array of fish gliding overhead. The immersive tunnel provided a unique perspective on life beneath the ocean's surface and left me in awe of the beauty and diversity of marine ecosystems. In addition to the tunnel, the aquarium offered a variety of interactive exhibits and educational presentations that allowed me to learn more about the fascinating creatures that call the ocean home. From hands-on touch pools to informative talks by knowledgeable staff, there was something for visitors of all ages to enjoy and discover. Great day out if you have young kids. Quite expensive for what’s left of the place. Not been since I was a kid and to be honest the whole place needs updating. The slope down to the tunnel no longer plays whale noises etc. The tunnel glass really needs cleaning bad it’s not as clear as it should be and can be quite hard to see the fish unless they are close to the glass. The water is so murky. Also the floor that used to move is broken or they just don’t turn it on. You can get round the whole place is less an hour which is why I say it’s quite expensive. You used to be able to hold snakes etc but you can even do that anymore so all you can do is look at the tanks which your not really spending more then a minute or 2 at each one. The gift shop is SUPER expensive. £22 for a stuffed toy and they only get more pricey. My mum used the toilets and said they were disgusting. The variety of fish they have is pretty cool. Some of them are MASSIVE and it’s awesome seeing the sharks and the stingrays. My daughter really enjoyed the couple of hours we spent here. She loved seeing the seals and it’s nice standing out by the seals with the bridge right there. The reptiles are pretty cool although I’m sure there’s only one snake which you can barely see. All in all as I said it’s fine if you have young kids they will be pretty fascinated by the lights and fish but for the price they charge for adults and the price of the gift shop you’d think they would clean the tanks…after all it’s supposed to be a major attraction.. it’s just changed a lot since I was a kid and lost a lot of magic.

The stingray and shark walkway is fantastic and the staff are very polite which is the only reason this is not a 1. We paid £18 each and must have got 30-40 minutes of entertainment if that. The seals were closed on the day for cleaning (understand that needs to happen) but no concession was provided for that. There were 2 full kids' school trips on the day who will have also missed out on this attraction, which is poor. Our aquarium experience comes largely from The Deep in Hull, and many SeaLife visits up and down the UK. We do not feel this was value for money at all. The price of the shop inside is relatively reasonable for somewhere like this, but a lot of the produce is very repetitive (lots of the same stuff out), and we collect fridge magnets from everywhere they go and sadly, they looked very cheap in quality. The cafe was very overpriced and had a very "school trip" vibe about it. As much as it can cater to this, again, compared to The Deep, it was very costly, and the options on the day were limited and of poor quality. We decided to eat elsewhere. Again, another comparison to The Deep, and many other places alike, one ticket purchase gets you FREE annual returns on the same ticket (priced just £3 more expensive but of significantly higher standard and with much more to see) Unsure if this is something Deep Sea World offers but it is not clearly advertised if so. For the place to claim to be Scotland's national aquarium, I and my partner were very disappointed and would not return.

Deep Sea was a fantastic outing with the family, offering an engaging and enjoyable experience for all ages. The variety of marine life on display was truly impressive, with a wide range of fish species from vibrant tropical fish to fascinating deep-sea creatures. The exhibits were well-organized and provided educational insights into the different species, which added an extra layer of interest to our visit. The venue itself is well-maintained, and the layout makes it easy to navigate, even during busy times. We found that two hours was the ideal amount of time to explore everything without feeling rushed. The environment was both relaxing and captivating, making it a perfect spot for a family day out. While the experience was largely positive, adding more interactive elements for children could make the visit even more engaging. A small café or snack area would also be a nice addition for those who want to extend their stay. Overall, I highly recommend Deep Sea for anyone interested in marine life or looking for an enjoyable, educational family outing. It's a great place to spend a couple of hours and create lasting memories.

We bought a family ticket for 2 adults and 2 kids. Costing £60. The carpark was full. There was rubbish everywhere. The bit of the forth estuary that it's sits in is dirty and polluted with plastic, rubber and metal waste floating about. The seal exhibit was closed, the moving walkway in the glass tunnel was closed, the rapids ride was closed, leaving a limited selection or tired looking fish tanks to look at..the feeding times were not adhered to and the person presenting them could not be heard because they use a lack lustre 5w guitar amp with a mic which was not loud enough and was very distorted. Everything inside costs significant extra money The aquarium is tiny, don't plan more than 45 mins. It was so busy we couldn't move really. It's very tired too and in eed of a deep clean and some redecorating/renovation. Even just some tidying up would make a difference. Honestly, we were bitterly disappointed. Very hard to enjoy when it's so evident the operators don't care about the experience they're providing. Kids got fed up very quickly.
